WOMEN'S CLUB

As the newly elected Peach Tree Women’s Golf Club (PTWGC) Captain, I look forward to a year filed with monthly games and events I would like to invite all Peach Tree Ladies’ Club members to join our Women’s Club; there is an annual fee of $50.00. When you join the PTWGC you’ll meet other ladies interested in playing golf, having fun, and competing in various games each Wednesday.

The Women’s Club also hosts other member/guest tournaments throughout the Year. It’s a lot of fun for all levels of play.

I would like to welcome our newest member Sheila Kelly-Houston She is a new golfer and has been playing on Wednesdays and winning!

In February the Women’s Club hosted our first Informal Guest Day, for this early in the golf season it was an outstanding success, we had participants from various clubs join our members in a round of golf followed by a nice lunch in our Clubhouse where we had an opportunity to visit with old and new friends.

In March our Spring Eclectic (EC) tournament begins. Cards are sold for $5 per card. Players can purchase one card per each of our three tees (Gold, Combo, and Green). Players can play one or six games and record their hole-byhole scores for a chance to win money at the end of the year

Join our Birdie/Chip-In/Sandy Par game, the cost is $10 for the year Each Wednesday, or designed other day, players who get a natural Birdie, Chip-In, and/or Sandy Par record it in the locker room Results are announced and winnings given at our annual Christmas Brunch and Awards

Our annual Invitational will be held May 23rd and 24th. PTWGC members invite guests from other clubs to join in a two-day event, this year’s Chairperson is Nancy Stallins. If you want to play but don’t have a foursome, the committee can help you find players.

2023 MEN'S TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE | MARCH-AUGUST

THURSDAY TOURNAMENTS: 9AM SHOTGUN SATURDAY TOURNAMENTS: TEE TIMES 8:30AM-10AM

03/16-03/18

Shamrock Ball

Two Best Balls of the four. Pick your own foursome played at 90% handicap. The “Shamrock Ball” must be used and is rotated through the group Groups not returning the “Shamrock Ball” will receive a 5-stroke penalty

04/01 THE IMPOSSIBLE OPEN

Play the course with impossible tees and pin locations Three flights will be made, Scratch, Net, and Ladies All members are welcome to participate

04/08 SPRING MATCH PLAY

Sign up in the golf shop Players will be seeded randomly Matches will be scheduled between players and will have 2 weeks to complete matches. If a player is unable to complete a match in the two week window, that player will forfeit the match.

04/13-04/15 PINEHURST

Both golfers tee off on every hole. Then, each team decides which ball to use Players then alternate shots until the hole is finished Handicap for this event will be 60% for the A player and 40% of B player

05/11-05/13

Individual Point Par

Players will compete using full handicap from the tees of their choosing.

06/08-06/10

THE MEN’S INVITATIONAL

Invite a guest for three days of friendly competition, food, fun, and camaraderie. Format: 5 nine hole matches.

07/06-07/08 6-6-6

Two player teams will play 6 holes of best ball, 6 holes of scramble and 6 holes of alternate shot.

08/12-08/20

Peach Tree Club Championship

Saturday players will play stroke play to qualify for match play. Match play will begin Sunday the 14th and play the following weekend.

2023 ILT Vacation | Punta de Mita, Mexico

In late January, fifty Peach Tree members said adios to California and joined our 2023 ILT Golf Vacation trip to the all-inclusive, adults only, Marival Armony Punta de Mita, in Mexico

Everyone enjoyed a non-stop charter flight, Marival's four gourmet restaurants, and many, many bars, including the Roof Top Sky Lounge with live entertainment and spectacular ocean view sunsets! Many also enjoyed golf at 3 different outstanding Championship Courses, including Greg Norman’s newly updated Higuera Golf Club Punta de Mita, El Tigre Country Club and the newly renovated Flamingos Golf Club
