WATER RESCUE JUNGLE RESCUE FIRE RESCUE VERTICAL RESCUE MASS CASUALITY RESPONSE TRAINING ANNUAL EVENT

Water rescue.

any water rescue cases threaten the lives of Mrescuers often due to their lack of knowledge /expertness, oftentimes rescuers have to lose their lives by their reckless rescue actions with only swimming skills without thinking about other factors. For this reason, basic water rescue skills and abilities should not only be possessed by those who work as a part of the search and rescue team but also civilians, so that when an emergency occurs the community will be able to minimize the casualties. Therefore, PTBMMKI prepares its members with training and knowledge about water rescue. Water rescue includes efficient and correct rescue techniques, survival mastery in areas near water as the main focus, as well as the nail plunge and evacuation techniques which are only a small part of this training.

Jungle rescue.

ungle Rescue is one of PTBMMKI's programs to Jprepare its members in carrying out rescue missions in the forest. This program is related to mountain rescue because it has the same terrain. Several regions in Indonesia have a combination between forests and mountains that are generally in the equatorial tropics such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Irian Jaya. From this program, it is expected that every medical assistance team of PTBMMKI knows how to rescue and how to survive in the forest.

Fire rescue.

TBMMKI provides training for its members to be Pable to extinguish fires and do a rescue operation for victims that are inside a burning facility that is known as fire rescue. Commonly, fires occur in cities, though it does not rule out the possibility that fires may happen in small areas like villages or the forest. But it is less frequent compared to the city. With the existence of the fire rescue training, it has a purpose to develop each and every member of PTBMMKI to become a skilful fire rescuer. With a hope, if a fire begins somewhere, not only by relying on firefighters, but the members of PTBMMKI is able to partake by extinguishing the fire and take actions in rescuing the fire victims.

Vertical rescue.

For this reason, PTBMMKI held a vertical rescue training so that all medical assistance teams know how to use safety tools and correct techniques. This program is important considering the natural conditions in Indonesia which have many cliffs, ravines, and steep slopes. The rescue itself is an object (both goods and humans/victims) evacuation technique (moving to a safer location) from a low point to a higher point or vice versa, on steep/vertical terrain both dry and wet.

Mass casualty response training.

ass casualty Response Training is an operation of Mtreatment and victims transportation when the number of victims exceeds the available resources. The PTBMMKI training program involves medical assistance teams who are trained and given a simulation of a large-scale disaster with training that includes basic disaster response skills such as triage, decontamination, ability to provide health services, evaluation techniques, and search and rescue techniques for victims. This training is very necessary in a disaster situation due to natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and others that cause large-scale disasters with victims who greatly exceed the human resources and the available health services. The purpose of this program is so that PTBMMKI members are able to work well with their colleagues in order to provide first aid and carry out proper and comprehensive evacuations.

Every year, PTBMMKI holds several routine activities attended by medical assistance team delegates with special purposes in each of these activities. These activities are intended as a forum for coordination and increasing companionship.

RAKERNAS

Rapat Kerja Nasional or abbreviated as Rakernas is PTBMMKI's national meeting to discuss, compile, and determine the work program of the National Committee and Regional Committee which will be carried out during one tenure and other matters that will be discussed later on. This activity was attended by members of PTBMMKI and delegates invited by the committee and/or the National Committee of PTBMMKI.

SEMNAS

Seminar Nasional is an activity intended as an education and training platform for medical assistance team members at the national level. This activity contains lectures, workshops, discussions, seminars with credits, education of national organizations and other activities that will be adjusted by the medical assistance team that carry out the events under the supervision of the national committee and in accordance with the PTBMMKI’s curriculum. This activity invites speakers who are experts in the topic which will be brought. This activity is expected to improve the quality of medical assistance team members through the seminar topics and medical skills training.

BAKSOSNAS

PTBMMKI is an organization that moves in various fields, one of which is in the humanitarian field. To be able to know and develop a sense of social care, Bakti Sosial Nasional were made to support this. This activity contains general treatment, antenatal care, education, circumcision /mass circumcision and will be readjusted by the medical assistance team who carry out the events. From this activity, it is hoped that a sense of care for other people and the surrounding environment can continue to increase.

PTBMMKI CUP

PTBMMKI CUP is a PTBMMKI activity in the form of a competition. The competition consists of educational videos and public posters. With the existence of PTBMMKI CUP, this program became a form of implementation of PTBMMKI's mission which is to have a platform to develop interests, talents, and knowledge for Indonesian medical students, especially in the field of medical emergency. Thus, members of PTBMMKI can play an active role, not only in disaster management, but also in achieving the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, especially in education to bigger communities.

MUNAS

Musyawarah Nasional or MUNAS is a national meeting of PTBMMKI which was held at the end of the tenure. At this event, national committees, regional committees, and every national event committees will give the final evaluation reports. There will also be ratification of non-permanent members to become permanent members of PTBMMKI, discussing and/or making amendments to the AD/ART, commission hearing, election and ratification of the president and regional coordinator of PTBMMKI, as well as tendering for MUNAS & JAMNAS. With the holding of MUNAS, PTBMMKI's activities become more focused and open to insights due to differences in opinion of all PTBMMKI members until they meet a mutual agreement that makes PTBMMKI better in the future.

JAMNAS

Jambore Nasional or JAMNAS are PTBMMKI activities providing theory and field practices that refer to the curriculum with a minimum of two theories and can also be accompanied by supporting activities such as camping, hiking/cross-country, medical emergency practice, and field activities. The existence of JAMNAS supports all members of PTBMMKI to hone their skills which are useful to help disaster victims, especially in the field of medical emergencies.
