International Agreements at Penn State Shenango Overview of Penn State Shenango International Agreements Penn State Shenango is the result of efforts in the 1960s by a group of local citizens to address a need for an affordable college in the area. It is the only urban Commonwealth Campus and is located on 13 acres in downtown Sharon. There are approximately 400 students. The Campus Director, Jo Anne Carrick, is the only chief administrator for a Commonwealth Campus that does not have the title “Chancellor”. She has a BS and a MS in nursing, and a D.Ed. in Administration and Leadership Studies in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. As a University College campus, Penn State Shenango is included in the scope of the Vidyalankar articulation agreement and the University of Guanajuato MOU. The Vidyalankar agreement expired on July 25th, 2021, and a renewal is currently in progress. Shenango does not have any other international agreements. Since 2015, Shenango has provided the following feedback in response to our Annual Reports. Please note: since Shenango has noted that they have not engaged in activities under the agreements, Shenango was not asked to complete the 2021 Annual Report.
Vidyalankar School of Information Technology in India Feedback on 2015 ARIA ·“We have not had any students attend our campus from this program. Therefore, there no formal evaluation has been necessary.” Feedback on 2016 ARIA ·“We have not taken advantage of this agreement in the past but would like this still as an option for the future.”

Fast Facts Dr. Jo Anne Carrick was appointed Campus Director and Chief Academic Officer at Penn State Shenango in 2014, following the departure of Fredric Leeds. How many students are enrolled? ~600 students attend classes at Penn State Shenango with no international students currently enrolled (see page 3). Majors In addition to the more than 160 majors that can be started at Penn State Shenango and competed at another Penn State campus, students can remain at Shenango for their full college career if they major in one of 9 Bachelor’s degree programs offered here in their entirety. Penn State Shenango also offers 5 Associate degree programs. Does it have residence halls? Penn State Shenango does not offer on-campus housing.
