Education Abroad at Penn State New Kensington (AY 2015/16 - AY 2019/20) Education Abroad In the last five years, six (6) students from Penn State New Kensington have gone on Education Abroad programs. Faculty-Led Programming Faculty-Led Programs often have participants from other campuses. This program information includes all student information, not just specific to New Kensington. The data available above only includes New Kensington-based students. Faculty-Led Embedded Programs New Kensington has not operated any Faculty-Led Embedded programs within the past 5 years. Faculty-Led Freestanding Programs New Kensington has not operated any Faculty-Led Freestanding programs within the past 5 years. Lecturer of Spanish, Melba Amador Medina, did serve as the co-leader for the program, based out of University Park College of Engineering, Lima, Peru: Cross-cultural Engagement (Summer) in 2019. Adjunct Lecturer of Health and Human Development, Robyn Chotiner serves as the annual co-leader of Florence, Italy: HDFS in Florence, Dept HDFS (Summer). She and her co-leader, Robin Yaure from Mont Alto, have been pivotal in the program’s success and have successfully recruited students from several campuses in the last 5+ years. 121 students have participated since 2016 While the majority of participation has come from University Park, in the last 5 years, students represent 8 different campuses.
International Agreements at Penn State New Kensington Overview of Penn State New Kensington International Agreements Penn State New Kensington (NK), as a University College campus, is included in the scope of the Vidyalankar articulation agreement and the University of Guanajuato MOU. NK does not have any other international agreements. Since 2015, NK provided the following feedback in response to our Annual Reports:
Vidyalankar School of Information Technology in India. Feedback on 2015 ARIA: “We received two students as a result of this collaboration. One returned home before getting a degree and the other graduated and is working in his field.” “This is part of a larger effort that has not gained the traction that we had hoped when joining. However, it does appear to be benefitting the Eastern campuses because of the critical mass that was attracted there in the beginning. I believe an effort to seed the western partners should be undertaken, but this is an internal issue within the PSU partnership.”
