International Agreements at Penn State Harrisburg Penn State Harrisburg has two (2) active agreements and a recently expired articulation agreement. Since 2015, Harrisburg has provided the following feedback in response to our Annual Reports. 1.Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Undergraduate exchange agreement signed on January 16, 2020, and due to expire on January 16, 2025. Feedback on 2020 ARIA “Penn State Harrisburg is in the middle of a leadership change for the school director who is responsible for maintaining the working agreement. Once we have new leadership, we would like to work diligently on increasing the student participation in the exchange. A new faculty member with experience advising for this program has been assigned. The German partners have a strong program for student engagement on the exchange. The university partner is an excellent one for us.” Feedback on 2021 ARIA “This is a premier program for us. We have new leadership in our school of science, engineering and technology so we expect a good push for students to go in Spring 2023.” 2. Pukyong National University in South Korea. LOI signed on May 13, 2008. Agreement does not have a termination date. Feedback on 2019 ARIA Harrisburg noted that the agreement should be allowed to expire. Feedback on 2021 ARIA “We request that this be moved to whoever works with this university. It could be Gary Lawler, chancellor at Hazelton.” 3. Fergusson College in India. Articulation agreement signed on March 5, 2016, that expired on March 5, 2021. Feedback on 2016 ARIA “1) two faculty went this summer for faculty training on courses they will be teaching for the 3+2. 2) Students and their families from India have been writing who are interested in being in the program, so we know there is interest.3) Dr. Kulkarni, our chancellor, and Dr. Adewumi traveled in January.” Feedback on 2019 ARIA “Dr. Omid Ansary at Penn State Harrisburg is going to ask Fergusson for their recommendation to move forward with the 3+2 agreement.There have major changes in staff and trustees.” Feedback on 2020 ARIA “Our senior associate dean for academic affairs has been in touch with our Fergusson partners and they would like to restart the work post-Covid. So, we need to renew upon expiration.” Feedback on 2021 ARIA “The academic leadership at Penn State Harrisburg is working on a revision of the current agreement. The academic leadership team has met with the Fergusson leadership team and we are updating the specifics of the agreement this semester. The first step is updating the courses in the agreement.”
