Education Abroad at Dickinson Law (AY 2016/17-2021/22) Ed Abroad Participation Between 2016 and 2019, 28 students from Dickinson Law went on Spring Embedded programs. There has been no other Education Abroad participation in the last five years. Faculty-Led Programming Faculty-Led Programs often have participants from other colleges and/or campuses. This program information includes all student information, not just specific to Dickinson Law. The data available in the participation chart above only includes Dickinson Law-based students. Faculty-Led Embedded Programs Dickinson Law has not run any faculty-led embedded programs. Faculty-Led Freestanding Programs Dickinson Law has not operated faculty-led freestanding programs.
International Agreements at Dickinson Law As of October 18, 2021, Dickinson Law (Dickinson) has three (3) active international agreements. Dr. Anthony Ogden is the new Director of International Programs and Graduate education at Dickinson Law and on September 29, 2021, Dr. Ogden met with our office to discuss pending agreements and how he should proceed with any future agreements. Our office provided Dr. Ogden with our latest processing requirements and Dr. Ogden indicated that he understood the requirements. In response to our 2021 Annual Report, Dickinson provided the following feedback. Active Agreements 1. Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan. The agreement for a dual degree program signed on May 13, 2019, and expires on May 13, 2024. This is a renewal of the agreement that was originally signed in 2013. Feedback on 2020 ARIA: “Given the inchoate nature of this partnership (although not technically “Early Stage”) and the ongoing pandemic, neither institution has had much of an opportunity to begin recruiting students for the dual degree program or Dickinson Law’s LL.M. and Visiting Scholar program. It is therefore to be expected that little engagement has occurred on this agreement as of yet.” Feedback on 2021 ARIA: “Per Dean Amy Gaudion, we are interested in resuming discussions and seek stronger areas of collaboration. Indicated “below expectations” only in so far as the discussions have lapsed.” 2. Hanoi Law University in Vietnam. General MOU signed on May 31, 2021, and due to expire on May 31, 2026. Feedback on 2021 ARIA: “Per Dean Amy Gaudion, we are interested in enhancing ties. Indicated “below expectations” only in so far as there has been a staff changed that has interrupted discussions and activity.” 3. Sudan Bar Association. LOI signed on January 28, 2021, and due to expire on January 28, 2024. Feedback on 2021 ARIA: “There has been little discussion recently. Per Dean Gaudion, collaborations to resume immediately. Will renew discussions fall 2021. Indicated “below expectations” only in so far as there has been a staff changed that has interrupted discussions and activity.” In addition to the listed active agreements, Dickinson reported the following “Additional International Engagement Activities” in response to the 2020 ARIA:

Inactive Agreements Additionally, our office has marked the following agreements as inactive (agreements where Dickinson Law and/or the partner have failed to respond to queries and that we are no longer actively tracking): 1.Assosa University. LOI proposed in 2021. 2. Brazilian Institute of Public Law. Renewal MOU proposed in 2018. 3. University of Florence in Italy. New faculty/graduate student exchange program proposed in spring 2019. 4. University of Kiel in Germany. Renewal graduate student exchange program proposed in 2018. 5. University of Naples in Italy. New graduate student exchange program proposed in spring 2019. 6. National Taiwan University. Renewal graduate student exchange proposed in 2018. 7. University of Oslo in Norway. Renewal dual degree program proposed in spring 2019.
