i finished the first degree of architectural studies at the faculty of architecture of the gdańsk university of technology. currently, i’m continuing my second cycle and last semester i spent on exchange at universisade de lisboa. to be honest, i don't know which passion came first. i am lucky that they interpenetrate and influence each other. my name is agata, but i like the abbreviation ag. i like to write in lower case. i'm sensitive i try to discover beauty in earthly creations and capture them on the frames of my camera. i am an amateur photographer but i hope, one day i will become a professional photographer. in 2022 i completed the aud.02 qualifying vocational course, and in 2023 i passes the exam. i wanted to show you my selected photographs, in the form of, let me call it... to see people as they are, as they imagine themselves, as they wish to be. to be witness, the friend, the judge, the accomplice. to record their moment.

for me, portrait photography is primarily an opportunity to improve the mood and increase the self-confidence of the photographed person. i feel great satisfaction when, after the session is over, and then after sharing the photos, i can see the joy and pride of the people i was able to photograph. i can say that photography is a kind of therapy, an opportunity to express our feelings, to show ourselves.

in my works, i try to pay attention to details, i have a weakness for tight frames, minimalism and those sensual and delicate shots. female photography allows me to show my own nature, sensitivity and strength, peace and power.

i remember my delight with the girls during this session. i remember how difficult it was to coordinate gestures and facial expressions of both girls - my friends, not professional models.
i also remember how they blossomed and gained confidence with each subsequent photo and how happy they were after the session.
i think it's about feeling satisfaction from the development of both sides, us as photographers and them as models, and that’s amazing.

„ a photographic close-up is perhaps the purest form of portraiture, creating a confrontation between the viewer and the subject that daily interaction makes it impossible, or at least impolite. „
- martin schoeller
when the light brings out various forms and textures when the sun dances on facades, streets and buildings creating patterns out of this world when stable blocks can arouse fear, peace or admiration i am grateful that thanks to photography i can deepen my love for architecture.
