El artista Peter Liashkov volvió a la Argentina luego de 60 años para desarrollar el proyecto “Persiguiendo la memoria”. Liashkov exploró sus recuerdos de la adolescencia, nostalgia y migración. El artista dejó la Provincia de Santa Fe cuando tenía 15 años, durante el gobierno de Perón a mediados de 1950. Su tiempo en Argentina y su posterior desarraigo fue el tema de su trabajo visual. Liashkov creó una instalación de técnica mixta, hecha con dibujos, papeles de inmigración, tarjetas de identificación, fotografías, cartas, y memorabilia. El proceso de realización de su trabajo fue grabado por una cámara de seguridad y la performance fue vista en vivo. The artist Peter Liashkov returned to Argentina after 60 years in order to develop the project “Chasing Memory.” Liashkov explored his teenage memories, nostalgia, and immigration. The artist left the state of Santa Fe when he was 15 years old, during Perón’s government in the mid 1950s. The time he spent in Argentina and his subsequent uprooting was the theme of his artwork. Liashkov created a mixed media installation from drawings, immigration papers, ID cards, photographs, letters, and memorabilia. A surveillance camera recorded the process of assembling this work, and the performance was viewed live.
