DIRECTIONS TO PPAC
From points north: take 95S to the Atwells Ave exit 21. Go straight through 4 traffic lights and turn left at the 5th traffic light onto Broad St, which becomes Weybosset St. From points south (take 95N to Point St exit 20) and from points east (take 195W to Point St exit 1A): proceed straight at the traffic light at end of exit onto E Franklin St. At Broad St, turn right at the light (Broad St becomes Weybosset St). PPAC will be on the right side of Weybosset. From Worcester/Western Massachusetts: Take 90E to exit 10A (Worcester/Providence, Route 146/20), which will lead to Route 146S (Providence). Take Route 146S and merge onto 95S in Providence. Then, follow directions for “from points north.”

LATE ARRIVALS POLICY
Please be sure to leave yourself adequate time for travel and parking so you may be in your seats before curtain time. Touring shows mandate that we hold latecomers in the lobby until an appropriate moment in the performance before seating them (sometimes as long as 20 minutes) in order to minimize disruption to other audience members.
GIFT CARDS
are available for purchase in any denomination at the PPAC Box Office and online. Gift Card sleeves include special pre- and post-show offerings from Gracie’s Restaurant, located at 194 Washington Street, Providence, RI 02903.
Accessibility Services are available through the House Manager’s desk in the Grand Lobby and through the Box Office. Services include assistive listening devices and wheelchair accessible seating. Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) lead National Tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s THE KING AND I. The National Tour launches at PPAC 30 – November 6.
Michelle Kelly won the Olivier Award for her portrayal of the title the London production of Disney's Mary Poppins. Kelly just recently completed a year and a half run playing Sylvia Llewelyn Davies in the production of Finding Neverland, starring opposite Matthew and Kelsey Grammer after originating the role at the American Theater (2015 Elliott Award Nominee). Her other Broadway include reprising her role in Mary Poppins and the 2004 revival of on the Roof.
Llana returns to the role of "The King of Siam" after two starring engagements in the Lincoln Center revival of THE KING AND I. He made American Songbook debut in the spring of 2015, which led to the release second solo CD. He earned a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Actor in a Musical for his portrayal as Marcos in David Byrne & Fat Boy Here Lies Love at The Public Theater (dir. Alex Timbers) and most played Duke Orsino for The Public Theater's Public Works musical adaptation of Twelfth Night (dir. Kwame Kwei-Armah) at The Delacorte.
KING AND I, directed by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher, won four Tony Awards® including Best Revival of a Musical. Hailed as “first-rate, sumptuous” (The New York Times) and "too beautiful to miss" (New York Magazine), the production played 538 performances on Broadway at the Beaumont Theater.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s finest works, THE KING AND I boasts a which features such beloved classics as "Getting To Know You," "Hello Lovers," "Shall We Dance," "I Have Dreamed," and "Something Wonderful." Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher, whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many children.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT JACKIE EVANCHO LIVE IN CONCERT

When she was ten years old, JACKIE EVANCHO astonished viewers and the judges of America’s Got Talent with her angelic soprano voice. She won runner-up in the contest and launched her music career.
Since her public debut, Miss Evancho has established herself as a legitimate force within the classical crossover genre. She has released five albums, three of which have entered the Billboard Classical Charts at #1. In the fall of 2015, she sang for Pope Francis at the Festival of Families during his U.S. visit.
At the age of 16, Miss Evancho has “found a brand-new sound…and is taking a step outside the classical world,” (Billboard) showcased in her song “APOCALYPSE.” She continues to tour, along with continuing her education.

IN REMEMBRANCE OF JIM SEAVOR
On August 26, 2016, the PPAC Family lost a dear friend – James L. (“Jim”) Seavor. Jim had a fortyyear career in print and broadcast news, and was an arts writer for The Providence Journal. Jim was always up to do fun things related to theatre - when Cats visited PPAC, Jim was transformed into a “Jellicle Cat” and when Peter Pan was at the Theatre, Jim “flew” with Cathy Rigby for Providence Journal features.
Jim had a great passion for theatre and the arts. Even after his official retirement from The Providence Journal, Jim wrote for Options Magazine and other publications about the Rhode Island arts scene. He was a long-time Tuesday night subscriber to our Broadway Series, and he and his husband, Gregory Mallane, were always a delight to see and chat with at our media table and post-show cast parties. We will miss his kind and witty nature at the “press table.”

IN REMEMBRANCE OF MARK WEINER
On July 26, 2016, the PPAC Family was saddened to hear about the loss of Mark Weiner. Mark's wife, Susan, is a Director of PPAC's Board.
Mark was a prominent figure in and a major fundraiser for the Democratic Party. He began his career working on Jimmy Carter’s 1976 Presidential Campaign and he spent the next four decades working to help Democratic candidates get elected. Mark was a former state Democratic Party chairman, and was also committed to helping others in Rhode Island.
His company, Financial Innovations, has been the official campaign merchandise distributor for the Democratic National Convention since 1980. The company also provides branded merchandise for individual candidates.
