Go straight through 4 traffic lights and turn left at the 5th traffic light onto Broad St, which becomes Weybosset St. From points south (take 95N to Point St exit 20) and from points east (take 195W to Point St exit 1A): proceed straight at the traffic light at end of exit onto E Franklin St. At Broad St, turn right at the light (Broad St becomes Weybosset St). PPAC will be on the right side of Weybosset. From Worcester/Western Massachusetts: Take 90E to exit 10A (Worcester/Providence, Route 146/20), which will lead to Route 146S (Providence). Take Route 146S and merge onto 95S in Providence. Then, follow directions for “from points north.”

• Walk-through metal detectors are now used at all performances. Please plan to arrive 30 to 45 minutes prior to curtain time.

• Firearms, weapons, laptops, briefcases, and suitcases are not allowed in the Theatre.

• All bags are subject to search; bags that pass inspection must fit under a theatre seat.

• Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

• There is no secure storage area and confiscated items cannot be returned.

• Providence Police details are on site at all PPAC events.

MS. LAURYN HILL established her reputation in the music world as the lone female member of hip hop act The Fugees in the mid 90s. She embarked on her solo career with her 1998 album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. It went on to be one of the most acclaimed and best-selling albums of the year, and it earned her five Grammy awards.

THEATRE NEWS YOUNG RI ARTISTS ARE INVITED TO APPLY TO PPAC’S ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS 2020 PROGRAM Sponsored by Textron Charitable Trust and PPAC Annual Fund Donors, with support from Ocean State Charities Trust Applications for the ARTS Scholarships 2020 program are now being accepted until Friday, February 28, 2020 at 4P! This program awards up to $500 in financial assistance to each of the 30 selected scholarship recipients. Qualified students must reside in and attend school in Rhode Island and be aged 11 to 14 by June 1, 2020. ARTS Scholarships offer young artists an opportunity to attend local summer arts education programs that will broaden their expertise in a chosen area of study.

These young performers (“cast members”) participate in classes, workshops, and rehearsals focused on classic Broadway shows. A staff of Broadway professionals will teach participants songs and choreography from two hit shows from the “Golden Age of Broadway.” Cast members will have the opportunity to create their own presentations based on shows from PPAC’s upcoming 2020/2021 Broadway Season.
