DIRECTIONS TO PPAC

From points north: take 95S to the Atwells Ave exit 21. Go straight through 4 traffic lights and turn left at the 5th traffic light onto Broad St, which becomes Weybosset St. From points south (take 95N to Point St exit 20) and from points east (take 195W to Point St exit 1A): proceed straight at the traffic light at end of exit onto E Franklin St. At Broad St, turn right at the light (Broad St becomes Weybosset St). PPAC will be on the right side of Weybosset. From Worcester/Western Massachusetts: Take 90E to exit 10A (Worcester/Providence, Route 146/20), which will lead to Route 146S (Providence). Take Route 146S and merge onto 95S in Providence. Then, follow directions for “from points north.”

PATRON SAFETY NOTICE:

PPAC requests that all guests arrive as early as possible and bring minimal personal belongings to the Theatre. Guests entering PPAC are subject to search at the discretion of management, which may include pat down or scan by metal detector wands. All bags are subject to search; bags that pass inspection must fit comfortably under a guest’s seat. Laptops, briefcases, suitcases, and outside food and beverages are not allowed in the building. Any items confiscated will not be returned. PPAC does not provide an area to check bags, coats, or any personal belongings. Please note that a Providence Police detail is on site at all PPAC events. PPAC management reserves the right to change their security policy or implement any security measures required for any performance without advance notice.

LATE ARRIVALS POLICY

Please be sure to leave yourself adequate time for travel and parking so you may be in your seats before curtain time. Touring shows mandate that we hold latecomers in the lobby until an appropriate moment in the performance before seating them (sometimes as long as 20 minutes) in order to minimize disruption to other audience members.

GIFT CARDS are available in any denomination when purchasing by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787) or at the Box Office window. Only specific denominations are offered online at ppacri.org (i.e. $25, $50, $75, etc.). Gift card sleeve includes special complimentary offerings from Gracie's Restaurant and Ellie's Bakery, both located in downtown Providence.

The Providence Performing Arts Center is a smoke-free facility. Patrons who wish to smoke may do so outside under the marquee at scheduled intermissions. The use of E-Cigarettes is also not permitted inside the theatre.

The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and esteemed conductor Keith Lockhart return to PPAC to perform their beloved Holidays Pops concert. Capturing the magic of the holiday season and the winter charms of New England, the Boston Pops will perform their signature "Sleigh Ride," as well as other holiday classics, and new arrangements of seasonal favorites. They are joined by the Metropolitan Chorale, known as one of Boston’s premier choral ensembles. Santa Claus himself will make a guest appearance during the concert’s finale followed by the traditional Boston Pops Holiday Sing-a-long.

J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), is pleased to announce that comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short will perform their “An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest of Your Life” show with the Steep Canyon Rangers at the 2018 PPAC Annual Gala on Saturday, April 14 at 7P.

The PPAC Gala is a black-tie optional event. Gala tickets include prime seating to the performance, postshow party at PPAC, and parking space. Gala tickets are tax-deductible to the extent provided by the law. Individual Gala tickets may be purchased for $300 NOW by emailing Donna Santos at dsantos@ppacri.org

WELCOME TO PPAC, NICK AND JOEY!

McNeish is our new Digital Media Assistant and is from Springfield, MA. Nick graduated from Springfield College with B.A. in Computer Graphic/Digital Arts. He also a visual artist, and has had his work commissioned the TV Network AMC! Before working at PPAC, Nick interned with the marketing agency GYK Antler.

Joey Macari has joined our Programming Department Programming Assistant. She is a recent Providence College graduate where she earned her B.A. in Theatre and English - Creative Writing. Originally from Stamford, CT, Joey is an actor in local theatre companies operates her own theatre company called Mutiny Theatre Project.
