From points north: take 95S to the Atwells Ave exit 21. Go straight through 4 traffic lights and turn left at the 5th traffic light onto Broad St, which becomes Weybosset St. From points south (take 95N to Point St exit 20) and from points east (take 195W to Point St exit 1A): proceed straight at the traffic light at end of exit onto E Franklin St. At Broad St, turn right at the light (Broad St becomes Weybosset St). PPAC will be on the right side of Weybosset. From Worcester/Western Massachusetts: Take 90E to exit 10A (Worcester/Providence, Route 146/20), which will lead to Route 146S (Providence). Take Route 146S and merge onto 95S in Providence. Then, follow directions for “from points north.”

Please be sure to leave yourself adequate time for travel and parking so you may be in your seats before curtain time. Touring shows mandate that we hold latecomers in the lobby until an appropriate moment in the performance before seating them (sometimes as long as 20 minutes) in order to minimize disruption to other audience members.

TONY BENNETT is a musician who moves audiences with his legendary voice and charming stage presence. His initial successes came via a string of Columbia singles in the early 1950s, including such chart-toppers as "Because of You" and a remake of Hank Williams' "Cold, Cold Heart." He had 24 songs in the Top 40, including: "I Wanna Be Around," "The Good Life," "Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)?” and his signature song, "I Left My Heart In San Francisco," which garnered him the first two of his 19 Grammy Awards. TONY BENNETT is one of only a handful of artists to have new albums charting in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 10s. He introduced a multitude of songs into the great American Songbook that have since become pop music classics.
TONY BENNETT’s daughter, Antonia Bennett, has been touring with her father and will open the performance with a collection of jazz/pop standards. Antonia Bennett is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

On the morning of Tuesday, March 6, PPAC President J.L. “Lynn” Singleton announced PPAC’s 2018/2019 Season to an enthusiastic audience. PPAC is pleased to introduce Olivia Sledzik, our new Programming Assistant! Olivia is originally from Washington, D.C.. She graduated from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland in 2014 with a B.A. in art history. Olivia previously worked in publishing at The White House Historical Association and interned at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
