HAYLEY GOES TO WASHINGTON!
In March, after The Sound of Music, we had to say “so long” and “farewell” to our marketing intern/assistant, Hayley McGuirl. Hayley began working with us in our greeter program when she was a senior in high school, and continued working with us part-time during her Providence College years. Hayley worked with Marketing on a wide range of projects, with special focus on our successful Tweet Seating program. Join us in wishing Hayley well as she has moved to Washington, DC and has begun an exciting new job as a Group Sales Associate at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. DIRECTIONS TO PPAC
From points north: take 95S to the Atwells Ave exit 21. Go straight through 4 traffic lights and turn left at the 5th traffic light onto Broad St, which becomes Weybosset St. From points south (take 95N to Point St exit 20) and from points east (take 195W to Point St exit 1A): proceed straight at the traffic light at end of exit onto E Franklin St. At Broad St, turn right at the light (Broad St becomes Weybosset St). PPAC will be on the right side of Weybosset. From Worcester/Western Massachusetts: Take 90E to exit 10A (Worcester/ Providence, Route 146/20), which will lead to Route 146S (Providence). Take Route 146S and merge onto 95S in Providence. Then, follow directions for “from points north.”

LATE ARRIVALS POLICY
Please be sure to leave yourself adequate time for travel and parking so you may be in your seats before curtain time. Touring shows mandate that we hold latecomers in the lobby until an appropriate moment in the performance before seating them (sometimes as long as 20 minutes) in order to minimize disruption to other audience members.
GIFT CARDS are available for purchase in any denomination at the PPAC Box Office and online. Gift Card sleeves include special pre- and post-show offerings from Gracie’s Restaurant, located at 194 Washington Street, Providence, RI 02903.
Accessibility Services are available through the House Manager’s desk in the Grand Lobby and through the Box Office. Services include assistive listening devices and wheelchair accessible seating. Upon request, sign-interpretation will be scheduled for Saturday 2P Broadway Series shows; call the Box Office for more details. The Providence Performing Arts Center is a smoke-free facility. Patrons who wish to smoke may do so outside under the marquee at scheduled intermissions. The use of E-Cigarettes is also not permitted inside the theatre.

KRISTIN CHENOWETH will join the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Kevin Stites, for an intimate, one-night-only performance. Ms. Chenoweth is a Tony® and Emmy Award-winning actress; best known for originating the role of “Glinda” in the Broadway musical Wicked – a role which earned her a Tony Award® nomination. She earned her first Tony Award® in 1999 for her portrayal of “Sally” in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. In the years after Wicked, she starred opposite Sean Hayes in the 2010 revival of Promises, Promises, and most recently, was nominated for a Tony® for her leading role in the 2015 revival of On The 20th Century.

Attendees of Macy's Family Night at The Sound of Music were treated to a lively pre-show discussion with Company Members Kerstin Anderson (Maria) and Dan Tracy (Rolf) and Head Carpenter Dani Taylor. Dan and Dani are both originally from Rhode Island. The trio answered questions and also taught the audience the hand signals for "Do-Re-Mi."
The pre-show event was co-emceed by Alexandra Cowley (ABC 6 News Anchor) and Kristin Lessard (B101 FM Morning Show Co-Host and Coast 93.3 Afternoon Drive Host). Bob Clayton, VP Store Manager at Macy's Providence Place, represented Macy's and spoke to the audience, saying, "At Macy's, we look for unique opportunities that will make a positive impact on the communities we serve. Learn It to Earn It is a partnership between PPAC and Rhode Island Monthly. The intent of the program is to bring the excitement and beauty of live theatre to students who may not have the opportunity to experience it otherwise.
