From The Director — Good Evening and Welcome to “Christmas Classics” presented by the Providence School Band!
Even though 2020 is much different than other years, it is our hope that we can provide some “comfort and joy” by taking you on a musical journey to a Christmas “just like the ones you used to know”. Throughout the evening we hope you will be entertained and thrilled by the presentation of music JONATHAN MAERKL that remind us of favorite Christmas movies, carols, Band Director and the birth of our savior and lord, Jesus Christ. We hope that you will also be proud of how God has blessed your children in their growth as musicians. We wish for God to continue to use our talents for His glory and to further His kingdom. All State Band —
Congratulations to 8th grader Natalie Johnson for being selected by audition for the Florida Middle School All-State Band! (The auditions take place in September, those accepted are notified in November, and the Event takes place in January.) Natalie is an amazing musician who puts instruction into practice in a detailed and disciplined manner. In addition to wind ensemble class, she participates in every extracurricular ensemble available to her including marching band, jazz band, and drum line.
