Burger shop blaze A FIRE which largely gutted a Muntz Street eatery in the early hours of yesterday morning was the result of an electrical fire, investigators have confirmed. A total of five Fire Rescue Victoria and CFA vehicles responded to the Buyin Time restaurant shortly after 1am, arriving within four minutes to find the shop ablaze following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000). The fire was deemed under control within 22

at the time, and there had been no resulting injuries. Detective Sergeant Chris Hill said CFA and police investigators had attended the scene yesterday morning, and said the fire was not believed to be suspicious after investigations had identified an electrical fault. Police tape blocked pedestrian access to the restaurant yesterday morning.
Social media posts on behalf of owner Kelley Adamo noted the restaurant would be closed for an indeterminate amount of time. “Thank you so much for your kind messages - I’m simply overwhelmed by all the love and support. “We will be closed for the time being, we will update you as soon as possible. “Onwards and upwards, this phoenix is ready to rise from those ashes.”
Another post, expressing Ms Adamo’s shock following the fire, was flooded with well-wishes from community members. “Sorry to hear about the fire Kell. Hope everything progresses as quickly and easily as possible and you are up and running soon,” commenter Hayley Jackson said, while Kirby Snowdon posted “hope it’s a quick fix so we can all purchase your amazing food again X.”
