The Three Mile Creek Bridge crossing will receive a new pathway and replacement of more than 120 metres of fencing from
the main road and footpath drainage. Mayor Dean Rees said at the Three Mile Creek site that a barrier will be installed on the trail to make the area much safer for cyclists and walkers. He said the existing treated pine bollards will be replaced with a better system so people
are safer when navigating the section of the trail or under the bridge to the extended pathway, while also beautifying one of the entrances to Wangaratta. “There is currently an eight foot drop from the embankment so the pathway will be widened with a new bollard system and it will look

baseball fields there is an alley way that will link up between the Wenhams Lane tracks and pathways to Murdoch Road which will allow kids to travel more safely to schools, specifically Cathedral College,” Cr Rees explained. “It will also link up better to the trail that extends right to the Milawa Gourmet region. ■ Continued page 3
