COLOUR CHANGE FOR AFL LEGEND AFL Hall of Famer Michael Tuck may have spent his 426 games in the gold and brown for Hawthorn, but on Sunday in Wangaratta he was wrapped in yellow and black to help coach the under 17 Tigers in their match against Mansfield. Tuck, pictured with Angus and Billy McClen, was called in by relative and Tigers’ vice president Brett McClen, to help pass on some wisdom to the next class of country footy stars. Tuck was in the rooms to give some last minutes pointers, and as a ruck-rover and half back, had a lot of knowledge to impart. “I wish I could play under 17s but I’m a little bit too old,” he joked. will also impact many investors who invest in housing that provide rental accommodation currently for many Victorians.” Mr McKenzie believes the first home buyer exemption on stamp duty seemed to work well as it stimulated the market which was sought at the time.
He said it allows stamp duty to be a one-off impact on buyers as opposed to annual land tax. “We all seek good governance to allow affordable housing, which in the past has been achieved with incentives to investors that assist in providing enough housing
for the rental demand,” Mr McKenzie said. “First home buyer building incentives in the past three years have certainly driven market growth and land prices to spike, and realistically have not helped affordability.” ■ Continued page 2
