Hope for jobs WANGARATTA will pilot a new environmental trial in the state to help reduce carbon emissions, which if successful, could lead to a major new facility and more jobs for the region. The ground-breaking project will see biosolids from Wangaratta’s wastewater treatment plant

“The biochar trial opens major opportunities for the circular economy and the wider water sector,” she said. “If successful, it could be adopted by others to convert waste into an environmentally friendly
