Local group is working to breathe life into festival after its Last Hurrah

A GROUP of locals is working behind the scenes to resurrect the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues. A ‘Last Hurrah’ event was held earlier this month, after the festival’s board made the announcement in August that it could not proceed beyond 2023 due to financial constraints, uncertainty around music festivals, and diminished resources. However, Patti Bulluss (pictured) - the festival’s original board chair and one of those who brought the event to life in 1990 said she was part of a group of people interested in trying to ensure the festival
