screen
MOST people preparing for Halloween put together their costume or come up with spooky themed treats for a party with friends. In the lead up to Halloween on October 31, Wangaratta based filmmaker Jack Johnston is doing things a little differently. As someone with a lifelong love of movies, he is working on creating a locally filmed fan homage to one of the most famous examples of the genre, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Jack said his film, to be entitled The Warby Range Massacre, follows in the footsteps of the 1974 horror classic which was directed by Tobe Hooper, following three friends who decide to take one last road trip before life takes them in different directions. However, the friends then “enter a world of the mad and macabre”, Jack said.
