who sacrificed their life, so we continue to live the great life we have today, where ANZAC Day continues a legacy of remembering,” he said. “It’s important that communities get involved in ANZAC Day.” Mr Trennik - vice
president of the Beechworth RSL SubBranch - said it is vital to keep ANZAC Day fresh in the minds of those for whom Australian servicemen and women sacrificed their lives. “If it wasn’t for the sacrifices made in the First
World War, the Second World War, Korea, and Vietnam, you wouldn’t want to think about where we might all be now,” he said. Mr Lade said six young men who he served with in Vietnam didn’t make it home. ■ Continued page 2
