Wilma said of the local landscape of the time. â€œThe West End has really grown.â€? They built their family home in Williams Road in 1967, but grazed cattle on the farm for a number of years. Wendy is married to Gary Clay of Milawa Transport Services. “I loved my time with Nancy, but as a new solicitor felt it was time to try a range of work to broaden my experience,” says Wendy. In addition to the main office in Myrtleford, and subsidiary offices in Albury and Wodonga, the firm has now opened an office at 105B Murphy Street, Wangaratta (between Computing Today and the Epicurean Larder).
Initially this office will be open all day Tuesday and Friday morning. The office is shared with an insurance business run by Wendy’s sister Debi Couzens. With more than 25 years experience, Charles splits his time between the various offices, and continues to focus on employment law in its many forms and litigation generally, while advising on other areas. Solicitor Melanie Barton recently celebrated her first year with Charles Morgan & Associates. She assists with family law, employment law and conveyancing. Melanie is based in Myrtleford but spends a day a week at the firm’s Wodonga office. Andrea McCormack, now into her fifteenth year as Charles’ law clerk, is the backbone of the practice. She assists Charles primarily with his unfair dismissal and employment work, and complex commercial court cases. She’s the “go-to” person in the office! Jean Lyons works with Melanie running the conveyancing from the Myrtleford office, with more than twenty years’ experience in this field. Both are very willing to discuss new matters and issues
as they arise, across the various offices Caroline Pizzey works as a legal assistant/law clerk in Myrtleford, after many years in the publishing industry (most recently co-authoring a book with Bright’s Patrizia Simone). Emma Buckingham has been working with Charles Morgan & Associates in her GAP year, after finishing at Marian College in Myrtleford last year. She’s been working as an office junior/ receptionist. When she leaves, Charles’ daughter Beth will fill the same role. One of the many pleasures of setting up his own practice has been the opportunity for Charles to work with his family. His wife, well-known local physio Liz Cerini, is now Charles’ office manager, and keeps a tight rein on things. Last year their elder daughter Jess provided an international flavour to the office. After 5 months as receptionist and legal assistant, she continued working whilst overseas in Europe for 10 months. The wonders of modern technology! She is now at university in Melbourne, but continues to help when needed. The main areas of law

Paul Muntz of that firm is renowned locally in the areas of succession and estate planning. In Wodonga clients are seen at the offices of Sandra Northey of Northey Legal &Conveyancing,18 Stanley Street. Charles enjoys running a relaxed, family-based practice, and encourages all clients – old and new – to drop in at any time.
