Record numbers can’t get enough of Buller VISITOR number records just may skyrocket this season if the good snow and fine weather conditions continue on Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. In the week ending Sunday August 3, some 34,177 visitors poured through the gates to Buller and a further 1202 to Stirling. tional bus shuttles having to be engaged to get visitors to the top and back down again at the end of the day. At one stage last Sunday it was reported that the line of cars waiting to enter the gates was some 7kms long. And Mt Buller resort management is encouraging keen snow lovers to get to the resorts early on weekends and avoid the lengthy queues to get through the gates. Continued page 2
