Finish Cancer Case for Support

Your support will: Increase bench-to-bedside research: The more scientific research our team of immunotherapy and genomics experts can perform in our labs, the more options we can translate to patients at the bedside, bringing more breakthroughs in cancer immunotherapy. For cancer patients and their loved ones, time is a precious gift.

How you can help Give

Get involved

Grow our investigative team: The success of our efforts will be only as good as the people chosen to lead our work. We know that recruiting and training the very brightest minds is the key to a future without cancer.

Make a gift to Providence in support of cancer research.

Take a tour, meet our research team or attend a gathering in person or at a virtual event.

Provide whole-person care for patients and families: We believe in caring for the whole person and supporting the families of those in our care. Our patient advocates, nurse navigators, oncology social workers, survivorship team, oncology palliative care, nutrition and integrative medicine services greatly improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

Remember

Secure the future through endowments: Through endowments, our researchers are able to ask the big questions, explore new ideas, and collaborate worldwide in pursuit of new breakthroughs, all while knowing that their work will have sustained funding.

Share information about our work with others, host Providence Cancer Institute tours or plan gatherings for friends.

Remember Providence in your will or estate plan to ensure the future of cancer research, treatment and care.

OUR MISSION

Cancer and your genome Your genome is the unique collection of DNA in your cells that encodes everything from hair and eye color to how you taste different foods. It also plays a role in how and when you get sick, how you recover and how your body responds to different treatments. Cancer occurs when certain changes to the genome, called mutations, change how our cells grow and divide. Mutations can occur in different ways, some environmental and some inherited from our parents. The good news is that many of the mutations that cause cancer are also weaknesses that we can target to kill cancer cells. By sequencing the genome of your tumor, we can work to map out these mutations to develop a personalized treatment plan.

As expressions of God’s healing love, witnessed through the ministry of Jesus, we are steadfast in serving all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. OUR CORE VALUES

Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence, Integrity
