CONNECTIONS

OUR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL THEME IS ‘SEEKERS IN SNEAKERS’! WE ARE EXCITED TO EMBARK ON THIS JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY AS WE TRUST AND FOLLOW JESUS!

From the Children’s Minister

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

We’re just a few weeks away from the start of Seekers in Sneakers, and there is nothing quite like the energy and enthusiasm that comes alive during Vacation Bible School! The curiosity and excitement that rings through our campus awakens the inner child in all who are here. It’s always something special.

Seekers in Sneakers uses a geocaching theme to invite children on a journey through Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes, and at home around the table as we discover Jesus as a learner, companion, teacher, example, and as a helper.

A NOTE ABOUT BLAKE’S SUMMER SCHEDULE

Geocaching is a world-wide outdoor recreational activity that takes seekers on an adventure to discover hidden geocaches – think a massive scavenger hunt! Geocaches come in different shapes and sizes and usually contain a logbook for seekers to sign, and sometimes small items are left behind for you to trade for an item you’ve brought along. There are over 2 million geocaches hidden around the world, and you can try it out for yourself! You can download the Geocaching® app on any mobile device and use the GPS coordinates to discover caches hidden all around you!

It takes a village of dedicated and passionate volunteers to make VBS

In order to give Blake some muchneeded time to rest and recover, I have asked him—with the Personnel Committee’s enthusiastic blessing— to cut back his work schedule this summer. In June, July, and August, Blake will be working on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays only. Otherwise, he will be taking

Get ready, Seekers! We have a great adventure ahead.
