CONNECTIONS EMBARK ON AN EXCITING JOURNEY THIS SUMMER WITH ROAD TRIP VBS, BASED ON JOSHUA 1:9—“THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.” DISCOVER GOD’S PRESENCE EVERYWHERE AS WE EXPLORE NEW PLACES AND EXPERIENCE GOD’S GOODNESS TOGETHER!
From the Children's Minister It’s officially VBS month and it is almost time for our Road Trip to begin! This summer participants of VBS will gather together as “Travelers” and embark on an exciting journey with Road Trip VBS, based on Joshua 1:9 – "The LORD your God is with you wherever you go." They’ll discover God's presence everywhere as we explore new places, make new friends, and experience God's goodness together. VBS Travelers will dive into timeless tales from the Old and New Testaments as they ride along the twists, turns, and excitement of an unforgettable trip. As many of us already know, road trips are a great way to build strong relationships and lasting memories. This summer, as we journey together, children and adults will have an opportunity to strengthen their faith and build relationships with new and old friends. Along the way, I hope that VBS Travelers are surprised at all the places they discover the presence of God. The VBS Leadership Team has been working hard to make the week of VBS the best that it can be! Their dedication and good work set us up for a wonderful week together, year
after year! Our VBS Travelers are in wonderful hands this summer and I’m grateful for the extra work that they are putting in to ensure that details aren’t missed while I’ll be on new parent leave. As you see this team, would you offer them your gratitude as well? Our 2025 VBS Leadership Team is: • Abby Hendrix, Assistant Director • Donna Gaskin, Art and Science • Alex Gruninger, Friday Family Event Coordinator • Kristen Hendrix, Registration • Lia Hinson, Recreation and Snack • Natalie Lodato, Decor • Kelly Perrone, Elementary Coordinator • Claire Revord, Worship Arts Coordinator • Becky Stout, Preschool Coordinator • Ursula Taylor, CDC Representative It takes a village of dedicated and passionate volunteers to make VBS possible each year. We have around 120 volunteers serving in various capacities this summer! And that doesn’t count the numerous prayers and other contributions that make this week possible. However you support VBS, I am grateful.
If you are still looking for a way that you can support VBS this summer, here are a few options: • Pray for our volunteer leadership, VBS children, and their families. • Help stock the Volunteer Break Room. Sheila Winborne is grateful for your donations of homemade or store bought snacks, as well as monetary donations, to help keep the table filled for our volunteers. Snacks can be left at the Church Office before VBS or anytime during the week of VBS. The open road awaits us for our Road Trip this summer! I’m excited to see where we find God’s presence along the way!
