OUR IMPACT:

The story behind the numbers Reaching more people through RSHE Launch of the RSHE e-learning programme Expands access beyond face-to-face training. Enables more professionals and other safe adults supporting young people to build their knowledge and confidence around relationships and sexual health.

Taking education further with live broadcasts New live broadcast offer for educational settings. Allows ESHS to reach significantly more young people at one time. Young people can submit questions anonymously and receive answers live, making sessions interactive while allowing everyone attending to benefit from the discussion.

Making clinical access work for those who need it most Reviewed patient access and clinical pathways to identify where processes could work better. Adapted access for people with priority or additional needs, including vulnerable people, sex workers and young people. Helps ensure urgent cases and those most in need of face-to-face support can access the right care. Using different routes appropriately creates capacity for patients who genuinely need clinical appointments.

Making access work for everyone Recognised that digital-first services don’t work for everyone. Paper eC-Cards introduced where young people cannot download/access the app. Online/self-check-in reduces the need for people to say their name aloud in clinic. Multilingual and Easy Read information improves access to sexual health information. This demonstrates that digital development is being balanced with alternative routes for people who may otherwise be excluded.

No symptoms, still worth testing No symptoms doesn’t mean no STI. Our online testing service identified 1,683 positive or reactive results in asymptomatic people in 2025/26 — including 1,321 chlamydia, 279 gonorrhoea, 56 syphilis and 27 HIV with 4 of these new HIV diagnoses, helping people access treatment sooner.

Prevention before treatment 131 people supported with DoxyPEP, helping prevent the transmission of Syphilis and Chlamydia 249 people vaccinated against Mpox, helping protect individuals and communities from Mpox transmission 1,193 people provided with PrEP, helping prevent HIV transmission and empowering people to take control of their sexual health By providing DoxyPEP, Mpox vaccinations and PrEP, the service is helping stop infections before they happen. This protects the individuals receiving the interventions, but also helps reduce the spread of infections within the wider community.
