SUMMER CAMPS

International Soccer

Join us in 2025 without leaving your area! Coached by international and USbased staff, our week-long half day and full day soccer camps improve your child’s soccer skills. Rooted in British training methodology, these camps introduce our international training tactics to campers across the U.S and Canada. Our curriculum and coaching foundation meets engaging delivery for an all-around positive experience.

We channel our energy and passion for the game into a fun yet developmental environment. As industry experts, we have crafted an approach which uses methodologies from all around the world to truly reflect the global nature of the sport today.

We use age appropriate practices to help players develop at their own pace, learn brand new skills and become an all-round better player...while having an amazing time with our international coaching staff!

Includes an educational approach that uses soccer to teach the core values of responsibility, integrity. respect, sportsmanship and leadership. Most camps will include a free soccer ball, jersey and certificate, as well as other early registration incentives.

Tiny Tykes:

A fun introduction to soccer influenced by the very popular year-round TinyTykes curriculum. Includes games, activities, and adventures to introduce and develop coordination, balance, running, stopping, turning, kicking, dribbling, throwing & catching. Half Day Camp:

Complete technical player development featuring practices from around the world and side games. Emphasis is placed upon improving individual dribbling, passing, control, shooting, with specific focus on personal skill development, character development, and cultural education.

Full Day Camp:

This 6 hours per day camp is split into 2 x blocks (supervised lunch around 12-12:45pm for rest and recovery - packed lunch required).

The full day program builds on our Half Day experience, and has a perfect balance of those just for fun activities, larger sided games for more tactical knowledge, and individual skill elements such as freestyle!

Emphasis is placed upon improving individual dribbling, passing, control, shooting, with specific focus on personal skill development, character development, and cultural education.

Adult Open gym basketball is a community, athletic program where adults 18 and over come together to enjoy a friendly and competitive environment, while improving their athletic abilities, health, and wellness. Just bring a fun attitude.

Pickleball:

A cross between ping pong and tennis, Pickleball is a paddle sport for all ages(18 and over) and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Please wear non marking gym shoes.

AQUATICS SWIM LESSONS

Group Swim Lessons

Perfect time to learn to swim or improve your skills. Group sessions are offered for every skill level and age starting at 3 years old and pottytrained. Minimum enrollment per class is 3 children. Registrations is now OPEN. Register online at www.cityofprosser.com/pac or call 509-786-2332.

Swim Lessons Levels

Level 1 - Minnows (Ages 3 years - 6 years)

Class Objectives: Students learn water-adjustment skills. Students will be introduced to water entry, front and back floating, kicking, bobbing, blowing bubbles and arm strokes.

Level 2 - Guppies (Ages 4 years - 7 years)

Class Objectives: Students are already water adjusted. Students must be able to submerge for three seconds and float on their front and back without support. Students will be introduced to basic swimming skills: front and back glides, kicking, arm stokes on front and back and rhythmic breathing.

Level 3 - Otters (Ages 5 years - 8 years)

Private Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons is a perfect options for more time/attention, customized to ability, personalized feedback, overcome water fear and more.

Class Objectives: Students can already swim a combined stroke on the front and back, using a kick and arm stroke for a minimum of five yards. Students will be introduced to back crawl, elementary backstroke kick, treading water and rhythmic breathing. Students will also work on improving their front crawl.

Level 4 - Barracudas (Ages 6 years - 9 years)

Class Objectives: Students can already swim a coordinated front crawl for 15 yards (across the width of the pool), back crawl for 5 yards and are comfortable in deep water. Students will be introduced to elementary backstroke and breaststroke. Students will also work on perfecting their front crawl, back crawl and treading water.

Level 5 - Dolphins (Ages 7 years - 13 years)

Class Objectives: Students cam swim one pool length of front and back crawl, tread water and dive into and swim in deep water. Students will begin learning sidestroke and finetune breaststroke. Students will also work on refining all previous strokes.

Level 6 - Sharks (Ages 7 years - 14 years)

Class Objectives: Students can swim two pool lengths of front and back crawl and 15 yards of breaststroke in good form. Students will be introduced to turns, dolphin kick and surface dives. Students will also work on endurance, sidestroke and refining all other strokes.

AQUATICS POLICIES & RULES

Aquatic Center Policies

No glass, ceramic containers, gum, alcohol, smoking/vaping or pets are permitted.

Coast Guard approved flotation suits, life jackets, water wings, attachable infant inner tubes, etc. are allowed at the facility.

Infants & toddlers that are not potty trained MUST wear swim diapers and must be accompanied by and within arms reach of a guardian at all times.

No cash refunds are provided. Payment options: cash, debit & credit cards only. Same day readmittance by hand stamp only.

The PAC lost and found is disposed of weekly, if you forget something please call us at 509-7860097.

Any person who verbally or physically abuses a guest or staff member will result in removal from the facility without refund.

Dress Code Policy

All persons admitted to the Prosser Aquatic Center must comply with the facility’s Dress Code Policy. All attire must be appropriate for our familyfriendly facility.

All patrons in the pool must have on proper swim attire.

All infants/toddlers that require a diaper must wear swimmer diapers and proper swimwear.

Clean cotton t-shirts or tops are allowed in the pools.

Activities, times, and locations are subject to change. You must be a member to partake of some activities that are listed. The cost is $10.00 for a 1-year membership. This includes everything below plus discounts we have graciously received through the businesses in our community. We are on Facebook and write weekly articles in the Prosser Record Bulletin.

Pool, Ping Pong & Air Hockey

We play Monday through Friday from 9am 1pm. We would Love to see more members come in to play so we can get a team ready for a tournament. Membership Required.

Tai Chi Club

Monday evenings from 7pm 8pm. Location: Dining Room. This is a class were members can practice together and share moves they have learned regarding the art. Membership Required.

Mah Jongg

This board game is played on Tuesdays from 1pm 3pm Location: Living Room. If you wish to learn or need a refresher, please come and we will be happy to teach you. Membership Required.

Crafts

Tuesday mornings 9:30am 11:30, we are working on a craft project. These projects are a variety of crafts. The cost will vary depending on the project. If you have any projects that you might teach or know of a person that can teach, feel free to bring it to our attention. Membership Required.

Circle of Support

This is a Grief Support Group that is in conjunction with Lower Valley Hospice and the Senior Center. It is open to the public. This group meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month from 1pm 2pm. You are welcome to join at anytime.

Regular Card Game

Monday and Thursday afternoons at 1pm, a variety of card games are played. This group of card players are in the dining room.

Gentle Fitness

This program meets every Monday & Friday from 9am to 9:45am. Location is Dining Room. Instructor Nancy Martinez will show you how to improve your muscle tone and strength.

Quilting Group

This group comes together on Thursdays beginning at 10am. Bring projects you want to work on. Membership Required.

Chair Yoga

This program is held every Friday in the Dining Room beginning at 10am. You can use a chair or not; it’s up to you. The Cost is by donation Membership Required.

Game Night

We meet the last Friday of the month. Time is 5pm and continues until whenever we are ready to call it a night. Bring a snack to share. This is open to the public in the dining room.

Pinochle

Mondays and Thursdays, 1pm 3 pm. Pinochle is played in the lobby tables. Come and have fun while working the brain a little! Pinochle is a tricktaking card game typically for two to four players and played with a 48-card deck. Membership Required.

SENIOR PROGRAMS

The Prosser Senior Citizen’s Club presents:

Daytime Bingo: Wednesday mornings at 9:00am–10:30am. We play with hard cards, 3 cards for $1.00 which you get a door prize ticket with that as well. The prizes for these Bingo’s are household items. Open to the public.

Nighttime Bingo: the first Friday of every month The doors open at 5pm and Bingo begins at 6pm. Adults play for cash and kids for gift prizes . The cost is $10.00 Buy-In, special games can be purchased if available (cash only). By gambling law requirements, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults. Children 12 and under can play on hard cards FREE for prizes. We have meals and drinks available for purchase. No outside food is allowed. Come and help support our program! Open to the public!

Community Breakfast

This is open to the community and is a monthly fundraiser that the Prosser Senior Citizen’s Club has done for years and years. The menu is pancakes, eggs and ham or a breakfast casserole and fruit. Occasionally, we change things up though just to have variety.

Reservations are secured as soon as the fee has been paid. Reservations are accepted on a first come first served basis year round. Parks are open to the public and cannot be denied access. Your reservation is exclusive to any picnic pavilion, picnic tables and grills surrounding the pavilion or concessions. In order to keep the cost of park reservations low, please ONLY reserve the times needed for your event.

Non-Resident Fees

Participants who live outside of Prosser’s city limits can expect to pay a little more than residents for park reservations, rentals, recreation programs, events and pool fees. The non-resident rate ensures that families living outside the city limits are paying an equitable rate as those that live within the city limits.

Refund Policy

Sometimes things don’t go as planned. We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule or combine any activity or program as needed. If an activity or program is cancelled by the Prosser Parks and Recreation Department, the patron will receive a full refund within three weeks of the activity or program being cancelled.

INFORMATION

Request For Refunds By Patrons:

1. Refunds will be automatically granted if requested five (5) business days in advance of the activity or program (less a $10.00 processing fee per transaction).

2. Refunds may be considered if request is received less than (5) business days prior to the service (if any service has been received, no refunds will be granted)

3. Refunds will not be granted for any event or program cancelled due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond the City’s control. For information on any activity or program cancellation or to see if the Aquatic Center is open, please check our Facebook page or call us at 509786-2332.

Registration Guidelines

You must register prior to attending an activity or program. Fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. No “on-site” registrations will be taken by the instructor. Class minimums must be met or the class is subject to cancellation, we suggest registering in advance to ensure class minimums are met. There is a $20 service fee for all returned checks and declined credit cards.

Photography & Video

For promotional purpose, photographs may be taken of participants. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please politely let our staff, photographer, or your instructor know.
