Senior Programs
Prosser Senior Citizen’s Club
The club meets at the Prosser Community Center (1231 Dudley Ave). All activities have resumed but might be subject to change. Give us a call at 5 0 9-7 8 6-2 9 1 5 f o r m o r e information. Must be a club member to participate in the activities that are listed here. Office Hours: Monday - Friday from 9am to 1pm Become a member, $10.00 annually plus discounts we have graciously received through the businesses of the community.

We are always looking f o r i n d i v i d u a l s o r groups to volunteer for different areas; Office, Bingo, Games, Arts & Crafts, Breakfast, Transportation, Outreach to name a few. Please call 509-786-2915 if you are interested in volunteering or just stop by to talk. Help us build more resources for our Seniors.

Pool

We have pool tables, come play and have fun! A tournament is usually held once a year.

Bunco
This is a game played with 12 or more players, divided into groups of 4 trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice. If you are unfamiliar with the game, we will teach you. Come and have fun!

Tai Chi Quan
Every Monday evening starting at 6pm with new students starting the first Monday of every month. I n t e r m e d i a t e a n d advanced Taijiquan (Tai Chi) also available. Contact the Center for pricing, more information on how to register.
MahJongg
Come and join this exciting and challenging game of strategy and chance that it is played throughout the world in different versions depending on the country. Our group at the Senior Center plays the American version of the game. We welcome new players whether beginners or advanced. For more information, please call the Center or Nancy Martinez at 509-781-6094. This is a FREE activity for any member of the club.

Foot Care
We have a Grant that will help Seniors get their feet checked and toenails cut. To apply for this grant funding, call the center and ask for an application to be mailed to you. Melidee Cussins, certified RN takes private pay seniors as well 509-790-1905.

Meals on Wheels
Located at the Community Center, Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels program offers home delivered meals to eligible participants. For more information, please call us at 509-786-1148.
SENIOR PROGRAMS
WEDNESDAY MORNING

The Prosser Senior Citizen’s Club hosts Daytime and Nighttime BINGO games. All of the Bingo events are family friendly. Call 509-786-2915 for more info. Daytime Bingo: Wednesday mornings at 10:00am we play Bingo with hard cards, 3 cards for $1.00 which you get a door prize ticket with that as well. The prizes for these Bingo’s are household items such, dishes, pictures, scarves, etc. Nighttime Bingo: the first Friday of every month. The doors open at 5pm and Bingo begins at 6pm. We play for cash and gift prizes. The cost is $10.00 BuyIn and at times there will be special games played that may cost more depending if you want to purchase. By gambling law requirements, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults. Evening Bingo children 12 and under can play on hard cards FREE for prizes (subject to change).

Last Sunday of Every Month This is a monthly fundraiser that the Prosser Senior Citizen’s Club has done for years. The menu is “All you can eat” pancakes, eggs, and ham or sausage. Occasionally, we change things up to have a variety of food. FEE: (suggested donation) $7 Adults /$3 Kids (8 under)

Pinochle
Come and have fun while working the brain a little! Pinochle is a trick-taking card game typically for two to four players and played with a 48-card deck. Derived from the card game bezique, players score points by trick-taking and by forming combinations of cards into melds.

Crafts
We will be doing a variety of things each week and are looking for individuals to teach new ideas to us as well. We have a sign-up sheet in the office, or you can register by calling the center. Craft projects will be posted on the sign-up sheet. No cost will be charged unless it is a big craft.
Education Classes
Guest speakers will be at the Center once a month covering different topics. Call the center, check the Prosser Record Bulletin or our Facebook page for more information on our guest speakers. If you have any special request on a topic, send us an email at seniorcenterclub@gmail.com
