There is a surplus of gun violence in America, and it has begun spilling into schools. The cycle of hearing of school shootings on the news regularly needs to end. The nation needs to find a compromise between second amendment rights and public safety.

Thousands of Arkansans battle the flu Empty seats. Empty classrooms. Bryant High School had a spike in absences this winter due to sickness with the influenza virus.

They aren’t alone, several Ark. schools closed due to the illness. About a dozen other states also reported closing schools due to the flu.

Students stand against gun violence

n March 14, students across the nation walked out of their classes at 10 a.m. as part of the protest against gun violence that some Parkland survivors organized. Sophomore Jewell Regan and senior Lauren Wilson organized a peaceful walk out for Bryant students.
