"We ran a tender process, and we went out to the market," Tim explains.
"We were expanding at a rapid rate, and our business was
requiring a new facility.
"Our existing landlord offered us an opportunity to relocate within the business park, and we had to move within a very short amount of time."
The fit-out included a laboratory operation, administrative functions, a distribution warehouse, a service centre, and customer service and support.
The goal was to find an appropriate location and have a fit-out partner that could meet their needs both from a fit-out perspective and on time and budget
Tim reveals that the company chose Skope Constructions for their fit-out work because of their

One of the challenges in this particular project was the power supply, which was crucial for running a group of Laboratories.
Tim explains that they had underestimated the power infrastructure, but Skope was able to help bring it up to capacity, ensuring there was no downtime in their 24/7 operation.
"They were also able to engage some appropriate contractors to come in and give us the advice as well through the Skope network to ensure that it met not only the current needs but the future needs for growth," Tim says.

"So a couple of areas where
Skope saved us are, was one in terms of the mechanical ventilation system at Hebburn Lodge.
"Working on the air conditioning system they managed to provide a fifty-thousand dollar saving and the reason for that was the mechanical engineer designed a system that included the replacement of all the duct work within the ceiling spaces.
"So this was going to be both a very costly exercise to do and also the time implications associated with it because you needed to pull the ceiling down pull the duct work out redo the duct work and redo the ceilings.
"So there's a saving in the order of approximately fifty thousand dollars in just doing that and not only obviously the cost side of things the time side of things as well."
Saving time on your building project is crucial, and John Carolan shared an example of a time-sensitive project that Skope Constructions had to deliver on schedule.
"The project we completed that was time sensitive was for IDEXX Laboratories," said John.
"They had only a six-week period where they had to have their fitout completed on time.
"They had to move from one building to a new building, and they had something like 200 staff to move. All in all it was a 24-hour operation to make the move.
"IDEXX is a Veterinary pathology provider, and it runs around the clock. That was a timesensitive project.
"We had to have it done in the six weeks to prevent damage to the company's brand and reputation,"
Tim White, the former managing director of IDEXX Laboratories, said,
"It was a collaborative decision across the business to go with Skope Construction, and it was unanimous, and we were pleased that we chose them in the end.
"Our team were impressed with their efforts to help us out!"
