Completed in 1924, the Dollhouse was conceived as a miniature mansion, complete with all the comforts of a real home, including electricity, running water, and functional elevators.

Every detail was carefully considered, from custom-made furniture to miniature replicas of the British Crown Jewels. The house became a showcase of the skill and talent of over 1,500 artists, craftsmen, and manufacturers of the time and was proudly exhibited at the Wembley Empire Exhibition in 1924.
