Our popular NAKED CLASSICS returns, and a remarkable roster of guest artists will take the stage alongside our own passionate musicians. While these past few years have proven that the journey is not always a straight line, together with you, we will continue to bend and push artistic boundaries in the way that has come to define ProMusica. Our artistic leaders reunite! Recognized among today’s top performing artists, creative partner Vadim Gluzman brings the lyricism of Brahms’ Violin Concerto to life. Music Director David Danzmayr opens the program with Korean-born composer Unsuk Chin’s fiery subito con forza. Sir James MacMillan’s One pairs with Mendelssohn’s triumphant Reformation Symphony.

ProMusica’s creative partner, violinist Vadim Gluzman, leads the orchestra on an evocative journey through time. The dreamlike sonorities of Golijov’s Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind are bookended by the brilliant and sprightly melodies of Mozart. Indonesian pianist and rising star Janice Carissa makes her ProMusica debut as soloist for Mozart’s renowned Piano Concerto No. 23.

ProMusica’s 44th season opens with four of the most famous notes ever written. Music Director David Danzmayr conducts Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, which remains one of the most celebrated symphonic works in history. Hailed as a “remarkable cellist” and described as “sheer perfection,” cello virtuoso Kian Soltani takes the stage performing two works by Haydn and Iranian composer Reza Vali.
