FIELD CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR Frequently cited statistics show that femme, trans, and nonbinary people, as well as other structurally marginalized groups apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. PROMO encourages you to break that statistic and apply. No one ever meets 100% of the qualifications. PROMO’s team engages in hard work and heart work and the leadership team values authenticity, empathy, compassion, and kindness–we’re a close-knit team that works together regularly. About the team and you: At PROMO, we are committed to using an intersectional approach in our work. PROMO’s work focuses on macro-level systems change and our success is inherently tied to the collective liberation of all oppressed peoples. Our organizers recognize that PROMO is part of a larger ecosystem working collaboratively, which allows them to connect community members with a vast network of partner organizations in LGBTQ+ and sibling movements for direct service needs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Director Job Term: Full-time, contract role January-November 2026, salaried, $75,000- $80,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience Job Supervisor: Executive Director Job Location: Saint Louis, MO preferred, Springfield, MO if candidate has deep campaign management expertise. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required. Hours: 40 hours per week, evening and weekend work will be required with frequent travel to STL, KC, and Springfield BACKGROUND In its final days of the 2025 legislative session, the Missouri Legislature passed HJR 73 now called Amendment 3, or A3— a legislatively-referred resolution asking voters to constitutionally ban healthcare for trans youth and undo the will of the people by re-banning abortion. PROMO joined partners in abortion and reproductive healthcare to form an executive committee to meaningfully bring to the table the voices of trans leaders and allies, the self-interest of trans Missourians, and the input of parents of trans kids. The Amendment will go to voters in November 2026. A3 is a ban on healthcare for trans young people AND access to abortion — plain and simple. With this resolution, Missouri is the first state to send a constitutional amendment to the ballot that asks the voters to take away rights from trans youth and their families. This manipulative move is meant to create confusion and trick voters into re-banning abortion in Missouri, while doubling down on attacking transgender kids and families.
