ProGuard Fact: We Cover What Breaks Whether your vehicle is powered by gas, electricity or is a hybrid hybrid, it’s a complex machine with parts that are eventually going to wear down. While other protection plans omit the components most likely to fail, ProGuard includes them so you are not out-of-pocket.

ProGuard 1:

Limited Powertrain

ProGuard 1 covers the powertrain components that power the vehicle (the transmission, engine, and differential) for most higher mileage vehicles up to 200,000 miles at time of purchase. These components are more likely to break and when they do, are the costliest to repair. This is a Limited Liability product, with limits to the amount paid out for covered components. It is the minimal protection we offer so for more peace of mind, consider ProGuard 2.

Differential: All internally lubricated parts, Bearings, Center support bearing, Differential housing, Ring and pinion gears, Spider and side gears.

Engine: Gas/Diesel – All internally lubricated parts, including Exhaust manifold, Timing chain and gears, Timing belt. Engine block is covered with the failure of an internally lubricated part.

Four and AWD: All internally lubricated parts of the transfer case including Bearings, Bushings, Chains, Gears, Sleeves, Sprockets.

Seals and Gaskets: Cylinder heads, Intake manifold (all others in conjunction with a covered component repair).

Transmission: Automatic/Manual; All internally lubricated parts including Electronic switches/ solenoids.

ProGuard 2: Powertrain Plus

ProGuard 2 includes the powertrain plus the cooling system, fluids, turbo/supercharger, and EV/Hybrid components for most vehicles up to 175,000 miles at time of purchase.

Should one or more of these components break down, we will pay up to the Actual Cash Value of the vehicle in claims so you can be confident that you are covered. The plan includes diagnostics in addition to 24/7 roadside assistance and towing to get you help wherever and whenever you need it.

Cooling System: Mechanical water pump, Radiator and Thermostat.

Differential: All internally lubricated parts, Bearings, Center support bearing, Differential housing, Ring and pinion gears, Spider and side gears.

Drive Axle: CV joints, Drive shafts, Universal joints.

Engine: Gas/Diesel – All internally lubricated parts, including Exhaust manifold, Timing chain and gears, Timing belt. Engine block is covered with the failure of an internally lubricated part.

EV/Hybrid: Electric traction motor, Electronic transmission/E-CVT transaxle, Power electronic controller (electronic motor).

Fluids and Filters: Any fluids and filters required due to a covered component failure (excludes refrigerant).

Four and AWD: All internally lubricated parts of the transfer case including Bearings, Bushings, Chains, Gears, Sleeves, Sprockets.

ProGuard 3:

The Standard

ProGuard 3 serves as the standard for which all plans aspire, covering everything in ProGuard 2 plus ABS, air conditioning, braking, cooling, fuel system, electrical system, steering and suspension for most vehicles up to 150,000 miles at time of purchase. The plan also includes many Advanced Electrical (door, power window and seat switches) and Advanced EV/Hybrid (Electronic transmission/E-CVT transaxle, Power electronic controller (electronic motor) and Propulsion battery) components that are very costly to repair. You also have the benefit of rental car reimbursement and trip interruption coverage to minimize out-of-pocket expenses if your vehicle is in the shop for repairs.

Includes ALL ProGuard 2 coverage PLUS the following: ABS Brakes: Accumulator, Electronic control processor, Hydraulic pump, Isolation dump valve, Motor assembly, Pressure modulator valve, Wheel speed sensors. (ABS Brakes not available on 3 or 6 month agreements).

Advanced Electrical: Ambient temperature sensor, Convertible top motor, Door lock actuators and switches, Electronic ignition module, Electric water pump, Liftgate motor and actuator, MAP sensor, Mass Air Flow sensor, Oxygen sensors, Power mirror motors and switches, Power sliding door motors, Power window motors, switches and regulators, Seat motors and switches, Sunroof motor, TPMS sensors (Advanced Electrical not available on 3 or 6 month agreements).

Brakes: Booster and Valve, Calipers, Hydro booster, Master cylinder, Power vacuum assist, Steel brake lines and hoses, Wheel cylinders.

Cooling System: Electric radiator fan motor, Fan and clutch, Heater core.

Electrical System: Alternator, Front and Rear wiper motor assembly, Rear window defroster switch, Starter motor and drive assembly.

Engine: Flywheel/Flexplate Fluids: Refrigerant Fuel System: Fittings, Fuel lines, Fuel pump module, Primary fuel pump.

Steering: Gear box, Power steering pump, Rack and pinion, Tie rod ends, Upper and lower control arms, shafts and bushings.

Suspension: Air suspension compressor, Leaf and coil springs (only if broken), Pitman arms, Spindles, Upper and lower ball joints, Wheel bearings.

ProGuard 4:

Comprehensive

ProGuard 4 is for the person looking for more peace of mind as it covers everything in ProGuard 3 plus a comprehensive list of costly components that are most likely to fail. Included are the engine and transmission, fuel injectors and cruise control assembly for most vehicles up to 125,000 miles at time of purchase. Additional Advanced Electrical (including the engine control unit, powertrain control unit, powertrain control module and body control module) components are included, in addition to highly used interior and exterior items such as the power trunk release motor and a ton of sensors that are relied on to keep your vehicle running properly.

Includes ALL ProGuard 2 & 3 coverage PLUS the following: Advanced EV/Hybrid: DC/DC converter, Electronic transmission/E-CVT transaxle, Extended range drive transmitter, EV/HV brake servo, High voltage A/C compressor, Onboard battery charger, Power electronic controller (electronic motor), Propulsion battery, Thermal cooling system.

ProGuard 5:

Exclusionary

ProGuard 5 is the plan of choice for those who want the ultimate in protection. It mirrors the manufacturer’s basic factory warranty, covering almost every component for most vehicles up to 100,000 miles at time of purchase. It includes ,* 24/7 roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement and trip interruption coverage if something should happen away from home. With exclusionary coverage, everything is covered except from a few parts that are excluded such as: • Wear and tear items (tires, brakes, • Safety (airbags and seatbelts) • Emissions (catalytic converters shock absorbers and struts) and purge valves) Extended Factory Coverage - we pick up where the manufacturer left off

Even if your vehicle is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, ProGuard offers you a way to extend your protection. We give you the level of coverage you need plus all the benefits of ProGuard Protection Plans for a lot less money than what the manufacturer offers.

For vehicles that are still under the manufacturer’s limited warranty, you can extend the protection and get the additional coverage and benefits of a ProGuard Protection 3, 4 and 5 Plan at a lower cost. Ask your dealer if your vehicle is eligible.

With most manufacturer limited warranties, basic coverage ends well before the powertrain coverage does, leaving you vulnerable to high ticket repair costs during that window. Our Xtend Wrap coverage extends the life of your manufacturer’s basic coverage to match the powertrain so those components are not left unprotected.

Today’s vehicles rely on many smart technology components instead of mechanics to operate including the Adaptive cruise control, Adaptive lighting control actuators, motors and sensors; Automatic start/stop sensor, Blind spot monitoring control module, Bluetooth module and microphone, Front, side view, back-up cameras; Heads-up display (HUD), Keyless access, Lane departure warning sensors, Navigation and touchscreen display unit, Parking aid sensors, Power liftgate/trunk motors and sensors, Push to start ignition module, Rear entertainment system (including display screens), Rearview video mirror, Seat heater elements and ventilated seat blower motors, Self-parking system control module, Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), USB ports, Vehicle hot-spot/cellular transceiver and Wireless signal receiver including Wi-Fi. No Problem!

Call us, and wherever you are we can recommend a ProGuard Select repair facility. If you’d prefer to take the vehicle to a repair facility of your choice, that’s perfectly fine with us.

Drive, or if necessary, have your car towed to your service center. Not all plans include a towing benefit so check with us first if you are unsure.

Have the repair facility contact us to authorize the repair and once approved, we’ll pay them directly.
