As a technology services player we been growing all these years and ever increasing number of clients that reflects the brand value we have created in the market place. The quality management system that has been developed over the years and continual improvement is an outcome of a highly committed services leadership and managers. We shall now be embarking upon a renewed focus on taking the quality paradigm to the next level by bringing all our associates into focus.

All our 'Associates' are like different parts of the body performing different roles but in synchronization so that , like a human body, Progressive is healthy and growing. In a services company “music” can be produced only if all the “associates “play in harmony. The market has been tough and hence it is absolutely imperative that we stretch ourselves to go a little beyond what is asked of us, strive to improve continuously and reaching out to our customers more than ever before.

Times Horizontal Solutions Data Deduplication A key trend that is challenging Business houses is data explosion.

By 2011, there will be a six-fold increase in the world's information.

Look at the Web 2.0 space, it has more than 150 million users and they are growing by roughly a quarter million a day and they are all creating data.

Organizations are having severe challenges just storing the data they have today, imagine how much more difficult and expensive storing six times more data will be in just a few short years.

That's why deduplication is of interest to business - it is a very simply technique for eliminating redundancy in much of the data being stored today.

Data deduplication (often called "intelligent compression" or "single-instance storage") is a method of reducing storage needs by eliminating redundant data.

Only one unique instance of the data is actually retained on storage media, such as disk or tape. Redundant data is replaced with a pointer to the unique data copy. For example, a typical email system might contain 100 instances of the same one megabyte (MB) file attachment. If the email platform is backed up or archived, all 100 instances are saved, requiring 100 MB storage space.

With data deduplication, only one instance of the attachment is actually stored; each subsequent instance is just referenced back to the one saved copy. In this example, a 100 MB storage demand could be reduced to only one MB. In actual practice, data deduplication is often used in conjunction with other forms of data reduction such as conventional compression and delta differencing. Taken together, these three techniques can be very effective at optimizing the use of storage space.

Benefits Data deduplication increases the speed of service with overall data integrity and reducing overall data protection costs.

Data de-duplication lets users reduce the amount of disk they need for backup by 90 percent or more, and with reduced acquisition costs and reduced power, space and cooling requirements.

Data deduplication is particularly effective when used with virtual servers, providing the ability to deduplicate the virtual system state files used when deploying virtual servers.

It contributes significantly in the process of Data Center Transformation through reducing carbon footprints due to savings on storage space and reduces the recurring cost of human resource to management and administration.

It also reduces the recycling of the hardware and the budget for data management, backup and retrieval by lowering fixed and recurring cost.

How to manage customer's expectations The focus of most customer relations management activities is of course the customer itself. The service organization gathers information about the customers and makes a predictive model of customer behavior and seeks to control customer interactions with the company.

Customers reasonably come to expect certain things and services - such as value for money, competitive prices, good quality products and a certain service level, from a business relationship.

The customer's expectations are based largely on personal experience, commercials, as well as accounts of experience from relatives and friends.

So, although customer expectations are increasing, both in the business world and or the internet, it is a relative phenomenon, according to company, business model, employees, products and much more. It is a fact that customers who are being well served don't make as much noise as customers who feel slighted.

In order to evaluate the potential value of using a CRM or CS system, to better satisfy the support needs of profitable customers, some of the key questions to ask could be; What is the competition doing to customers expectations? Look at close competitors and long term customers as well as the industry as a whole. Spot the highway.

What metrics, other than profitability, differentiate very good, good, and bad customers? Is it the amount of customer support, they require, the number of incoming calls or anything else related to scratch your service organization?
