Woodrow First School & Nursery We care, we share, we learn together.

PREMISES MANAGER

Headteacher Salary: £76,772 - £84,699 per annum Woodrow First School and Nursery is a successful and popular First School and Nursery in Redditch, Worcestershire which has an excellent reputation in the local community (and nationally). Following almost 17 years of successful leadership, our current Headteacher will be retiring at the end of the summer term. This is an exciting opportunity to join our inclusive community and further develop the school.

• Hours: 10 hours across each of 40 working weeks; the weekly pattern can vary by agreement. • Salary: GLEA Grade 7, actual annual basic pay £7,000.42 • Base: The Federation school nearest to the successful applicant, with paid travel from that base to our other schools under the LCC Travel policy. Our four nursery schools are places where children, families and staff should feel welcome, safe and cared for. We are looking for a friendly, practical and well-organised Premises Manager who will help us look after our buildings and the people who use them in Boston, Gainsborough, Grantham and Lincoln.

We are looking for an exceptional, committed Headteacher with a proven record in educational leadership to share our ambition and strategic vision. Your energy and enthusiasm, together withour leadership team will inspire, challenge and empower all members of our school community in achieving our vision.

You will enjoy getting to know the schools and the people who work in them. This is a varied, flexible role: you will plan your work across the Federation according to priorities and will not need to visit every school every week. Working with the School Business Manager and senior leaders, you will support caretakers where we have them, work constructively with contractors and keep premises records and actions on track. Our building projects are generally modest and occasional; recent examples include changing flooring and replacing lighting with LEDs at one school.

Our future Headteacher will have strong leadership skills and be able to meet the demands of a nurturing community first and nursery school serving an area with a range of social and economic challenges. The school has a strong, motivated and dedicated team of teaching and support staff, committed to achieving high achievement and equity for all.

The work includes arranging and checking maintenance, repairs and servicing; monitoring contracts and contractors; using Concerto to track premises compliance and actions; supporting risk assessment and COSHH records; and providing clear updates for senior leaders and governors. You will liaise with our ICT provider and responsible leaders to track relevant security checks and follow up outstanding actions.

The role is suitable for an experienced Deputy Headteacher capable of meeting the challenges of the post, or an experienced Headteacher who is looking for a second headship. Governors have high expectations and are positive and very supportive.

We will agree a working pattern with you that meets the needs of the schools and gives you flexibility. Your 400 working hours are spread across 40 working weeks, but they do not have to be exactly 10 hours every week. For example, you may work more hours during a school holiday when contractors are on site and fewer hours, or take agreed time away, during term time. We will plan this together in advance; occasional changes will be agreed when work arises.

The Headteacher will benefit from: • Enthusiastic children who want to learn new things and take part in all aspects of school life • Dedicated and skilled staff who are committed to providing the best possible learning opportunities using a curriculum centred around the Mantle of the Expert approach • A diverse school population • Very supportive parents and a local community who want the school to succeed • A supportive and experienced governing body There will be opportunities to visit the school in the weeks beginning 19th October and 2nd November.

You will visit schools when a check, meeting or piece of work calls for it, rather than following a fixed weekly circuit of all four sites. Planning, records, calls and follow-up can often be done from home, or we can provide office space if you prefer. Your designated school remains your base, with travel to other Federation schools paid in line with the applicable policy. You must hold a full, current driving licence, have access to your own car for travel between our four schools, and ensure it is insured for business use in accordance with LCC’s travel policy. We would love to hear from someone who brings sound premises experience, takes pride in doing things properly and communicates kindly and clearly with colleagues across our schools. If you would like further information about the post, please email enquiries@lmnsf.education with any questions or to arrange a visit to one of our schools.

Prospective candidates are asked to complete the application form using the on-line application process. The supporting statement section in the form should show how you meet the person specification. For further details and to apply, please visit: https://www.wmjobs.co.uk/job/279019/headteacher/ Application Closing Date: Friday 6th November 2026 Anticipated Interview Date: Monday 7th December 2026

Closing date: 9am Friday 20th November 2026 To apply: Please return the LCC application form filled out in full to: Lmnsf-enquiries@lmnsf.education The Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. As the role involves working in our schools, appointments will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other appropriate pre-employment checks.

What does Chill'd mean?

Mentor

The Chill'd way

Salary: £22,336 ‐ £26,413 per annum + Benefits

At Chill'd CIC, we believe in providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our young people. Our approach focuses on embracing neurodiversity and offering personalised experiences to cater to individual needs and strengths. We are dedicated to empowering young people.

Do you want to make a difference? Work with young people with hidden talent? CHILL'D is an expanding alternative provision based in 3 centres. 2 in Camp Hill and 1 just outside of Nuneaton. We are looking for 2 more Mentors to work 1‐1 with young people who need unconditional positive regard and support to reach their potential. Generally let down by our rigid education system they respond well to a nurturing and graduated approach. As we increase in popularity and size we need more staff. You may have worked as a Teaching Assistant (or equivalent name) in a mainstream or special school; as a youth worker; in social care or as a parent; we are open to all applications. We are open to part‐time working, in half day ses‐ sions. Visits are welcome ‐ please contact our special‐ ist lead mentor, Matthew Pike, on 07858 761284, to arrange a convenient time. We have our official opening of "The Place" on Sunday 4th October from 12 to 4; you would be very welcome to attend. For further details and to apply, please visit: https://www.wmjobs.co.uk/job/276794/mentor/ Closing date for applications is 0900 on Monday 5th October. Shortlisting will take place that day and we plan to interview on Wednesday 7th October. The interview process will enable you to see our settings, meet some staff and young people, and share your experience, skills and ideas.

• Child - led • Holistic • Inclusive • Life • Learning • Development Having a lot of first hand experience of the SEN system with our own children and by helping other families, it became clear that the system that should help, isn't always able to. Academically able children sometimes don't fit into either mainstream or specialist schools and often miss out on months or years of education.

Our Vision To create better future lives for our unique young people

Our Mission Working with young people to make real life connections, experiencing their own community, hearing their voices and engaging in their interests. This is a new way of learning.

Chill'd was born from two parents of exceptionally bright neurodiverse children who struggled for years to access any education offered from mainstream school to different specialist provisions.

Young people are being offered specialist schools over an hour away from home, which disconnects them from their community and creates additional barriers. At Chill'd we believe even if a young person is unable to attend their local school, they are still an important part of their community so we deliver our sessions as close to home as possible. The whole team are trauma-informed and all of our supporting adults use a planned, gentle, empathetic, therapeutic approach to engage with our young people to create confidence, emotional regulation, better communication and a positive holistic pathway to success. We use a continual cycle of assess, plan, do and review to ensure continual improvement with every session.

How do we engage with young people?

Both named Emma, we could see our children's huge potential whilst simultaneously seeing them seemingly fail time after time. Our children weren't failing, they were being failed because they were not understood or supported in the right way.

Firstly we listen to the experts, the parent / carers and the young person. We find out what approaches work so we know what we should and shouldn't do. We discover the young persons interests and design a nurture based programme for the young person.

We have experienced a huge range of provisions, with varying degrees of success. Nothing seemed to fit perfectly and we became increasingly fed up with our children being let down. We became scared for their future as we saw them grow from small children into young adults and began to wonder if they'd ever find their place in the world and we could see that it would be the world that would be missing out on them, rather than the other way around.

Each young person will have a completely unique experience.

We began talking to other parents and found so many similar stories, we had to do something to make this change.

If what we do doesn't work, we don't give up, we make it work, we change and adapt. Chill'd is about the young person and not the adults, adults are there to help. Each young person has a dedicated mentor who is there to support them throughout their time with Chill'd For further details about Chill’d, please visit: https://www.chilldcic.com

PREMISES MANAGER • Hours: 10 hours across each of 40 working weeks; the weekly pattern can vary by agreement. You will liaise with our ICT provider and responsible leaders to track relevant security checks and follow up outstanding actions. For example, you may work more hours during a school holiday when contractors are on site and fewer hours, or take agreed time away, during term time. We will plan this together in advance; occasional changes will be agreed when work arises.
