CHILL'D is an expanding alternative provision based in 3 centres. 2 in Camp Hill and 1 just outside of Nuneaton. The interview process will enable you to see our settings, meet some staff and young people, and share your experience, skills and ideas.

The Chill'd way At Chill'd CIC, we believe in providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our young people. Our approach focuses on embracing neurodiversity and offering personalised experiences to cater to individual needs and strengths. We are dedicated to empowering young people.

• Child - led • Holistic • Inclusive • Life • Learning • Development Having a lot of first hand experience of the SEN system with our own children and by helping other families, it became clear that the system that should help, isn't always able to. Academically able children sometimes don't fit into either mainstream or specialist schools and often miss out on months or years of education.

Our Vision To create better future lives for our unique young people

Our Mission Working with young people to make real life connections, experiencing their own community, hearing their voices and engaging in their interests. This is a new way of learning.

Chill'd was born from two parents of exceptionally bright neurodiverse children who struggled for years to access any education offered from mainstream school to different specialist provisions.

Young people are being offered specialist schools over an hour away from home, which disconnects them from their community and creates additional barriers. At Chill'd we believe even if a young person is unable to attend their local school, they are still an important part of their community so we deliver our sessions as close to home as possible. The whole team are trauma-informed and all of our supporting adults use a planned, gentle, empathetic, therapeutic approach to engage with our young people to create confidence, emotional regulation, better communication and a positive holistic pathway to success. We use a continual cycle of assess, plan, do and review to ensure continual improvement with every session.

How do we engage with young people?

Both named Emma, we could see our children's huge potential whilst simultaneously seeing them seemingly fail time after time. Our children weren't failing, they were being failed because they were not understood or supported in the right way.

Firstly we listen to the experts, the parent / carers and the young person. We find out what approaches work so we know what we should and shouldn't do. We discover the young persons interests and design a nurture based programme for the young person.

We have experienced a huge range of provisions, with varying degrees of success. Nothing seemed to fit perfectly and we became increasingly fed up with our children being let down. We became scared for their future as we saw them grow from small children into young adults and began to wonder if they'd ever find their place in the world and we could see that it would be the world that would be missing out on them, rather than the other way around.

Each young person will have a completely unique experience.

We began talking to other parents and found so many similar stories, we had to do something to make this change.

If what we do doesn't work, we don't give up, we make it work, we change and adapt. Chill'd is about the young person and not the adults, adults are there to help. Each young person has a dedicated mentor who is there to support them throughout their time with Chill'd For further details about Chill’d, please visit: https://www.chilldcic.com

What does Chill'd mean?

Mentor Salary: £22,336 ‐ £26,413 per annum + Benefits Do you want to make a difference? Work with young people with hidden talent? CHILL'D is an expanding alternative provision based in 3 centres. 2 in Camp Hill and 1 just outside of Nuneaton. We are looking for 2 more Mentors to work 1‐1 with young people who need unconditional positive regard and support to reach their potential. Generally let down by our rigid education system they respond well to a nurturing and graduated approach. As we increase in popularity and size we need more staff. You may have worked as a Teaching Assistant (or equivalent name) in a mainstream or special school; as a youth worker; in social care or as a parent; we are open to all applications. We are open to part‐time working, in half day ses‐ sions. Visits are welcome ‐ please contact our special‐ ist lead mentor, Matthew Pike, on 07858 761284, to arrange a convenient time. We have our official opening of "The Place" on Sunday 4th October from 12 to 4; you would be very welcome to attend. For further details and to apply, please visit: https://www.wmjobs.co.uk/job/276794/mentor/ Closing date for applications is 0900 on Monday 5th October. Shortlisting will take place that day and we plan to interview on Wednesday 7th October.

At St Anne’s Community Services, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life without limits. For more than 50 years, we have supported people across the North of England, promoting dignity, choice and inclusion in everything we do. Our vision is simple: A Life Without Limits, and our purpose is to empower people to live independently and thrive within their communities. Founded in Leeds in 1971, St Anne’s has grown into a leading charity supporting more than 1,600 adults with a diverse range of needs across the North of England. While our services have expanded over the decades, our purpose remains the same: empowering people to achieve greater independence, choice and opportunity Looking ahead, our five-year strategy, A Great Plan 2026–2031, sets out an ambitious vision for the future. Built around Great People, Great Quality and Great Places, it reflects our commitment to investing in colleagues, delivering outstanding support, and creating environments where people can live independently and feel a sense of belonging. Through continued investment in colleagues, strengthening our services and supporting our communities, we will help even more people live fulfilling lives without limits. In a world where independence and inclusion are not guaranteed, St Anne’s continues to put the people we support and the colleagues we employ at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are building a future where everyone has the opportunity to live their best life and thrive within their communities.
