Alternative Provision Facilitator Salary: £120 per day We currently provide one to one support for children and young people with diverse SEN needs. The children who attend our provision have access to the whole site which comprises of 10 acres of pasture for grazing farm animals, shelter building site, lake for pond dipping, raft building and kayaking, moat, ancient history ‘huts’ class rooms, and their own dedicated learning base. The alternative provision base consists of a shared space for social time and cooking, three learning rooms and a small sensory room.

The Governors at Shuttleworth College are seeking an exceptional, passionate and strategic Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our Extended Senior Leadership Team and lead our SEND provision across a vibrant and ambitious mainstream secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SENCO who is determined to ensure that every young person receives the support, challenge and opportunities they need to thrive. As a school with a significant number of students with SEND, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do. We believe that all pupils can achieve highly when barriers to learning are identified and addressed, and we are committed to providing outstanding support for students with a wide range of needs.

Our alternative provision tutors plan and deliver a bespoke curriculum that works towards the pupils individual outcomes. They track progress against those outcomes on a weekly and termly basis, write daily reports, take part in meetings, reviews and feed back to management. Initial support would be provided.

The SENCO will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven ability to inspire, motivate and develop both students and colleagues. They will model excellent teaching practice, champion high-quality adaptive teaching and contribute to raising standards for all learners across the school. The post includes a teaching commitment of approximately 6 hours per week, allowing the postholder to maintain a strong classroom presence while fulfilling their strategic leadership responsibilities.

Drainage Engineer Salary: From £38,000 per annum Gillies Group is a growing drainage company based in Skye, providing drainage, maintenance, and repair services across mainland Scotland. We work with domestic and commercial clients, delivering reliable, high-quality solutions. We’re looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing drainage issues, carrying out repairs and maintenance, and delivering a high standard of service to our customers. This role involves working on a wide range of drainage systems across domestic and commercial properties throughout mainland Scotland. Key Responsibilities • Diagnosing and resolving drainage issues • Reactive drain unblocking and repairs • Carrying out CCTV drain surveys and inspections • Performing planned maintenance and servicing • Carrying out drain repairs, excavations, and reinstatement work • High-pressure drain jetting and system cleaning • Working on both commercial and domestic properties • Using mobile technology (smartphone/tablet) to manage and update jobs • Providing professional service and maintaining strong customer relationships • Ensuring all work is completed in line with company standards and health and safety policies

The management committee is seeking to appoint a new headteacher who has the drive, creativity and exceptional skills needed to build on the ‘good’ provision at the Linden Centre and drive forward the next stages of development. The Linden Centre operates across 4 sites, providing intervention (AP) for both primary and Key Stage 3 (24 spaces) as well as primary and secondary SEMH SEND Hubs (36 spaces). The successful candidate may come from either a primary or a secondary background, what is more important to us is that they have the leadership skills and personal attributes to lead this special and unique school. The Linden Centre is already highly successful and seen as a beacon of good practice locally and nationally. We are, therefore, looking for a leader who can build upon this success and take the centre forward even further. At the heart of the school, and fundamental to its success, is a culture of nurturing and an understanding of the needs of the students in their care. With this in mind, the management committee is looking for a leader who is able to inspire staff and gain their confidence, a leader who believes in the potential of young peo‐ ple and sets aspirational standards both academically and in all other aspects of their well‐being. As a centrally employed teacher and leader, the Headteacher of the Linden Centre will also play a central role as part of the Alternative Provision Service. The successful applicant will play a lead role in developing approaches to support young people with Social and Emotional needs across schools in the borough. Under the Experts at Hand model of the SEND Reforms, there will be an outreach function from the Linden Centre to work with schools to develop strategies and implement a relational approach to working with young people. Income Manager CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER Salary: £36,581 - £42,123 pro rata (SCP 24-30: £22,738.52 - £26,180.48) Parish clerk and responsible financial officer (RFO) and clerk to Crich Recreation Ground Trust - 23 hours per week. Crich is a parish in Derbyshire with three main villages, Crich, Fritchley and Whatstandwell plus smaller settlements; there are 12 parish councillors over three wards. The parish has assets including the Recreation Ground, a charitable trust of which the parish council is the sole trustee, a burial ground, the Jubilee Memorial area and the Fritchley Drying Ground. We are refurbishing the public toilets leased from Amber Valley Borough Council and are planning on installing a basketball hoop on the Recreation Ground. This vacancy is an excellent opportunity to join a parish council with a wide range of assets, a committed group of councillors and a very active local community. The role will be a mix of office and home-based work. The parish has an office within the Glebe Community Centre and it will be necessary to be out and about in the parish at times. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Crowborough Town Council as its Responsible Financial Officer (RFO). Located in the heart of the beautiful High Weald, Crowborough Town Council is a large, active council providing a wide range of services including several recreation grounds, nature reserves, allotments and cemeteries for the benefit of the local community. As Responsible Financial Officer, you will work at the Council Offices and report directly to the Town Clerk and provide professional financial leadership across the Council. Key responsibilities include budget preparation and monitoring, financial reporting, management of accounts and payroll processes, VAT and insurance administration, risk management, preparation of annual accounts, liaison with auditors, maintenance of the asset register, and advising councillors on financial matters. We are looking for a qualified or part‐qualified accountant, or an experienced finance professional with substantial senior accountancy experience. You will have excellent financial management, budgeting and reporting skills, experience of year‐end accounts and audit preparation, strong IT skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and objectively. Knowledge of local government finance and experience as a Responsible Financial Officer would be advantageous.
