Pathway Worker Salary: Grade 8 Level 1- 4 (£34,301 to £37,439 per annum) The Pathway Service are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner to work with care experienced young people as a personal advisor. This role is crucial in supporting young people between the ages of 17 and 25 years old as they navigate their transition to independence and beyond. You will be a skilled and motivated practitioner who is committed to supporting care experienced young people in all circumstances. You will need to have excellent communication skills, a high level of computer skills, good organisation, be responsive to challenging situations and flexible to the needs of the service. You will value placing effective relationships at the centre of what you do and be able to communicate effectively with young people, social work colleagues, foster carers and families. Effective collaborative working and maintaining a person centred approach is essential. You will be required to maintain accurate and up to date case records, review Pathway Plans within statutory timescales and attend relevant meetings. You will be required to visit young people in a variety of settings in York and locations out of area. You will work closely within the team, provide duty cover and be responsible for a case load of young people. You will support the team to maintain and develop positive practice and strengthen the service in all areas. Part-Time Subsidy Officer Salary: Grade 7 £39,152 rising to £41,771 (£31,774.86 - £33,868.38 pro rata to 30 hours) Uttlesford District Council is looking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable professional with experience in Housing Benefit subsidy who is ready to take the next step in their career. In this key role, you will be responsible for preparing, compiling and monitoring Housing Benefit subsidy claim information, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process. You will take the lead in identifying and monitoring areas of potential financial loss to the Council, particularly in relation to Local Authority Error and Administrative Delay overpayments. Working closely with senior managers and both internal and external auditors, you will take appropriate action to minimise financial risk and maximise subsidy entitlement. We would love to hear from you if you: • Have extensive knowledge of Housing Benefit legislation and processes. • Have experience using IT systems relevant to Housing Benefit administration. • Possess a working knowledge and/or practical experience of the technical principles underlying subsidy. • Have significant experience assessing Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Support claims. • Experience of performance improvement is desirable. Learning Support Assistant – Haverhill

Like the borough, our pollution control workload is varied and involves working with a range of individuals and businesses to deliver the best possible outcomes for our residents and communities. We have a small, dedicated team who work independently and with others to ensure that our communities are protected from the negative impacts of pollution.

Salary: FTE £24,784.50

The Pollution Control team investigates complaints of statutory nuisance, responds to planning consultations, regulates Part A2 and B permitted processes, monitors air quality, oversees the contaminated land regime under Part II A of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, and receives licence applications to comment on. It also looks into pest infestations, drainage problems and accumulations of waste on land. It’s a wide range of work and we are therefore looking for someone who is flexible and can demonstrate the pragmatism re‐ quired to get things done and problem solve. To manage the team, you will need to have the technical knowledge to advise team members, the time management skills to prioritise your work and the teams, and the people skills to diplomatically communicate with a wide range of service users. HVG Mechanic We have an HVG Mechanic position available @ our Strachur depot in the Cowal Peninsula. This position is to keep the maintenance programme for a modern fleet of Wagons and trailers up to date carrying out 6 weekly inspections and MOT preps and to cover and breakdowns & punctures for our own fleet in this area.
