In this role, supported by the Operations Manager, Head of Service and the Responsible Individual for Ar Curam, you will ensure the effective and efficient running of our homes, including a high standard of care, whilst ensuring staff engagement, development and performance in their contribution to delivery of this service. You will also support the strategic development of the service and contribute towards organisational development. You will also have an Assistant Manager and 2 Senior Residential Childcare Workers to support you in the effective delivery of service. You will be experienced in a Residential Childcare Management position, confident in your Leadership and decision making abilities. Within the last five years you should have worked at least two years in a Managerial position relevant to the residential care of children, or vulnerable groups, and in addition experienced in the supervision and management of staff working in the care sector. You should possess your QCF Level 3 or 4 in Children and Workforce Development (or accepted equivalent) in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations or hold a level 5 which supersedes this qualification and meets the requirement. Where a level 3 or 4 is held, it is essential that you are working towards your QCF Level 5, with no more than 1 year left to undertake and a commitment to complete this within the required timescale. You will also hold the Level 5 Supervision and Appraisal module. If not already held, the successful candidate will be required to un‐ dertake the level 5 supervision module within 3 months of appointment. This will be funded by Ar Curam. In addition, candidates must have experience of working in a Residential Childcare setting, having worked in a position relevant to the residential care of children, or vulnerable groups at Senior/ Management level for 2 years in the last 5.
