We have an exciting role on offer within our Neighbourhoods team as a Community Safety Manager.

Charnwood is a vibrant and exciting borough with a population of 180,000 located between the three cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. We are looking for an ambitious and strategic Community Safety Manager to lead our Community Safety Partnership and drive real impact across our neighbourhoods. Reporting to the Head of Neighbourhoods, this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering our community safety priorities.

The Opportunity

You will lead the Community Safety Partnership, oversee CCTV operations and manage our Warden service, ensuring visible, intelligence-led and partnership driven responses to crime and antisocial behaviour.

There is a challenging agenda for growth in Charnwood and the wider Leicester and Leicestershire area. This role provides an opportunity to make a significant and immediate contribution to this, working with partners across the area to support the preparation of the Strategic Development Strategy and in leading the Council’s planning policy, environment infrastructure funding teams. We will offer you plentiful and varied experience in a key management role within our Planning and Growth Service and an opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills day to day.
