This role involves steering a flexible, responsive service within our Ways to Wellbeing model, emphasising evidence-based interventions. You'll play a key role in enhancing our established social work services and collaborating with health sector colleagues. Our mission is to partner with individuals to ensure their well-being and safety, fostering their independence for as long as possible.

As a Senior Manager, you will:

The primary actions of this role are to assist deliver and maintain a number of 'caretaking' tasks both in the Town Centre and on Town Council sites i.e. Allotments & Carnegie Centre. Handy with a basic set of tools you will also be responsible for general maintenance. No tasks require qualifications but require a foundation understanding of health and safety and management of risk when working solo or with basic garden tools or cleaning products. Interest in horticulture and growing your own food desirable. Online training will be provided. The role is based on a combination of a Lengthsman, Cleaner and Town Ranger roles, but includes other duties i.e. opening & closing the Carnegie Centre, supporting Council events, prepping for events. It requires someone who is flexible with working hours, can manage physical work, likes engaging with the public and can work on their own initiative. Engineering & Facilities Manager

Responsible for leading and continually developing the Engineering and Maintenance teams, working closely with the EHS and Operations departments to ensure alignment with overall business goals.

This role involves managing both in-house engineers and specialist contractors to deliver a robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system and a structured preventative maintenance programme.

The postholder must ensure full legal compliance for all engineering activities, whether carried out internally or by third parties.

Operating within defined financial constraints, they will also support the preparation of budgets and oversee all financial aspects of the Engineering Department.

A key focus of the role is to develop, implement, and drive ongoing improvements in maintenance systems, Capex projects and engineering practices across the site.

The soon to be created new Margate Town Council is seeking to appoint an innovative, forward thinking, and proactive Town Clerk & RFO to not just lead the Council in achieving its targets and aspirations but to be a key part of the setting up of the Council initially.

The Town Clerk & RFO will initially be employed by the current Charter Trustees for Margate and will work with them, as well as officers and councillors at the principal authorities of Thanet DC and Kent CC in setting up this new Town Council and will then move to the new body when it becomes a legal entity on 1st April 2027. The new Town Clerk will then be expected to lead the new Council – working with the new councillors to agree a Corporate Plan, as well as be responsible for ensuring the Council is up to date with policies and complies with all legal requirements associated with a Council within the sector.

Otley Town Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Ex‐ecutive Officer and Responsible Financial Officer.

This key leadership position involves supporting councillors, managing staff, and delivering Council priorities and community projects.

The Executive Officer is the Council’s Proper Officer, responsible for ensuring effective administration, legal compliance, and the smooth operation of Council business. The Town Council manages a wide range of services, including Otley Core and Orchard Gate Public Toilets, ten allotment sites, and over 35 town assets.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least two years of relevant management experience, strong leadership skills, an understanding of the current local government environment, and experience interpreting statutory requirements and managing budgets.

Specialist Habilitation Officer for Children & Young People (C/YP) Level 1

Salary: Grade 10 Point 27 to Point 29 £38,220 to £39,862 per annum £19.81 to £20.66 per hour

About the role:

Supporting children and young people (CYP) with visual, hearing, multi-sensory and physical impairments to learn, as appropriate to each individual, safe, independent movement and/or travel, to develop daily living skills, and to gain the knowledge and confidence needed in order to participate in their wider communities.

About you:

You will have experience of assessment needs/risk assessment, environmental audits, mobility, independence. You will also have experience of working with CYP who have a range of additional learning needs. You will have a commitment to developing fair, respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationships with CYP and their families.

What you will do:

Assess the habilitation needs of CYP supported by the local authority sensory service. Providing advice, information and assistance to parents, carers, school staff and others in close contact with the CYP in order to ensure consolidation of any implemented training programmes.
