Parish Clerk St Enoder Parish Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive CiLCA qualified Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer (RFO). As Clerk/RFO, you’ll play a key role in driving projects forward and supporting the council in their work to support and develop a vibrant and growing community (population 5082, 2021 census). This is a hands-on role supporting the delivery of street cleansing and related services while helping to keep our local communities clean, safe and well cared for. The successful candidate will need to have a good knowledge of street cleaning and waste clearance tasks, along with knowledge of the appropriate legislation including any health and safety aspects. Forestry Operations Team Leader Salary: £50,269 to £52,413 per annum About Us We’re part of the Communities team within County Highways, and our job is simple at heart — to keep our county safe, well‐maintained and looking its best for the people who live and travel here. A big part of what we do is looking after the natural environment — trees, green spaces and roadside areas — while making sure our highways stay safe and accessible. We work closely with partners, communities and local organisations, and we’re always looking for better, smarter ways to deliver our services. About the Team You’ll be leading our Forestry Operations team — around 15 people who are out there every day doing hands‐on, practical work across the county. They manage everything from tree works and vegetation clearance to responding when storms hit and roads need to be made safe again. The team works across different sites and depots, and no two days are really the same. The teams work across the County on both the Public Highway as well as Council properties and depots, plus in partnership with various District Councils assisting in maintaining their tree stock through Service Level Agreements.
Site search already undertaken has identified in excess of 60 new sites alongside an existing portfolio of land opportunities which require assessment and preparation for marketing. We need an organised professional mind to work through each site identifying issues, resolving or de-risking the sites and preparing them for the market to meet the Councils ambitions linked to housing numbers, growth and renewable energy infrastructure.
