Oscar Barbery
In a conservative, unreceptive, poor, shy, tasteless, numb, lost and sleepwalking cultural scenario (not to say: catatonic): Oscar Barbery BLOWS IN, INTERRUPTS, BURSTS FORTH, IN and AT (who said I can’t invent words?) with fresh, topical, mysterious, smart and ambiguous proposals: Photographs of the simple, of the daily life, of the known, yet involving something that incites me to perceive and feel the unusual, the awkward, the perversity that resides in the mind of every person, all of us, Muslims and Christians, the others and oneself. Images that trigger my subconscious. They stimulate my imagination. They make me think.
