Tutor Introduction
Liisa & Ida: The Athlete & The “Loca” Liisa, who’s carrying the title of the infamous “Ganos toilet breaker”, is the embodiment of a trustworthy friend and a great listener. Preparing for the upcoming Iron Man competition, Liisa is also a fiercely determined and disciplined athlete, like a true Skibba member she is, yet this girl knows how to let loose and have fun. Liisa doesn’t care, what anyone else thinks (in the best way possible) and she likes to think outside of the box embracing her own path. Me and Liisa have been like two peas in a pod experiencing many Mikkeli “firsts” together as babas and created countless unforgettable memories. On top of Liisa’s supportive guidance, her introverted nature ensures that even the shyest fuksis feel at ease. Coming from Itä-Helsinki and now residing in “the hoodz” of Raviradantie, Liisa knows how to survive anything! Ida, or as many also know in Mikkeli as the “bubbly bööna”, makes sure that the Mikkeli spirit is spread even outside Mikkeli! From the day she stepped to our school, she actively participated in every student event possible, and soon enough she was no stranger to any student. With high alcohol tolerance, she is most often one of the last ones on the dance floor looking for an afterparty. She often calls herself “a bit loca”, since she can do the most unexpected things, making your time with her unforgettable and engrossing. Even though Ida is a night person and sleeps only 4 hours a night, she manages to exceed in her studies and is willing to help the other students too. And most importantly, she is a person that cares for others. She isn’t afraid to show that she is there for you and that she is a trustworthy friend.
Amirkhan & Sherkhan: The OnlyKhans This little Asian boy named Amirkhan is my tutor pair. He is from Kazakhstan, although he has clearly inherited the Mongol blood of the great Genghis Khan. He is also known as a drinking half of the duo, who usually gets wasted after the first lonkero. In Mikkeli, you can easily spot him at Burger King or Anfora, where he is regularly getting in shape for FC Probba games. He may seem quite calm, but the closer you get to know him, he is a friendly and a funny guy. All in all, Amirkhan would be glad to help you out during the O-week period. This dude comes from the European part of Kazakhstan, where he was raised among other cultural people like him. Sherkhan is also known as "Kazakh Chalamet", not only because of being his look-alike, but also being a fashion killer, as his cartoon socks are the most gorgeous part of him. Shera has also worked at a restaurant, mainly making kebab and delicious horsemeat. He is the soberest person you'll ever meet in Mikkeli, so the time you'll be stoned, Shera is the one to carry you home. Despite his lazy nature, Shera is a caring and open-minded person, and you're lucky to have him as a tutor. Overall, Sherkhan is a great guy to be around with and he will be looking forward to helping you with surviving the first days in Mikkeli. 19 | BULLETIN • JULY 2023
