Whileyouareeagerlywaitingforyourfirst day at university, let me tell you about mine Just a year ago I walked into the campus for the first time. As expected, I wasjustasexcitedasyouforwhatthefirst days will bring. The first days include usefulinforegardingyourstudies,butalso aglimpseoftheuniversitylifethatyou’ve beenexpecting.Ontheveryfirstday,Igot afeelingthatthisisjusttherightplacefor me The fairly small but extremely tightknit student community of Mikkeli will warmlywelcomeyou!

The first week will be hectic, but worth every hour of missed sleep. My advice for youistobeyourselfandtrytogettoknow as many people as you can! Those people will be your best friends in Mikkeli, and hopefullyalsodozensofyearslater

Otava also known as the sunshine of the year, is always ready to greet you with a warm smile and positivity Known for finding specialty coffees wherever we go, he ensures that no one will be left without their daily intake of caffeine Our president, who hails from the faraway land of Nurmijärvi, descended to the big city of Mikkeli to show us all how to balance being a great leader/student, while still not missing any event and being a devoted advocate for the Mikkeli spirit. This is important as he is the main representative of Probba’s external affairs.

As the President of Probba, Otava is in charge of moderating board meetings and keeping everything and everyone in check He is also the connector with the faculty. As the biggest fan of Jukurit, Otava takes every freeride he can get to attend their games When he's not busy making and obtaining connections with student organizations such as AYY and KY over the phone, you’ll find him playing säbä or occasionally testing the durability of PlayStation controllers at his beloved residence in Spermis (the best student house)

Meet Sasha, Probba’s Academic Affairs Coordinator who's got it all! Legend says that she still maintains a GPA of 5.0 which you would hardly believe on Wednesdays when she’s tearing up the dance floor in Pentti. On top of being able to explain extremely hard economic principles while buzzed, she’s also an extremely good cook. As the president of Baba’s Kitchen she’ll make O-week extra spicy! As a resident of the legendary student apartment Forttis, she surely brings the heat wherever she goes.

Sasha’s responsibilities on the board include organizing the whole O-Week, listening to student feedback, and working with the faculty to constantly improve our academic environment She also acts as the secretary at our Board meetings Additionally, Sasha is easily approachable and outgoing, which makes her the perfect contact person in the case of any troubles one might face in the life of a Probba student

As Probba's CRRs have a tradition of professionalism, you might mistake Anton for some professor due to his solemn-looking façade This man has decided to commit his life to work and school to the point that you could hardly ever see him active on social media Coming all the way from Lappeenranta, this RussianFinnish has switched his reading taste from "The Brothers Karamazov" to daily newspapers because "they're more useful for my life". But once you get to know him a bit, Anton probably is one of the most reliable, kind and supportive guy you will ever meet.

As the Corporate Relations Representative of Probba, Anton takes care of maintaining the yearly contracts with our corporate partners as well as negotiating and creating new partnerships, making tons of emails and phone calls He is also in charge of corporate events, as well as corporate collaborations and sponsorships in Probba's events A busy "business"

man as he is, but when you see Anton around, come to say hi and you'll see his gentle side (probably also his valuable sense of humour :)

Introducing Saana, the camera-wielding dynamo and master of message delivery! With a lens in one hand and a smartphone in the other, she’s the Communications Coordinator who has the uncanny ability to be everywhere at once, snapping candid photos at events while simultaneously composing informative messages to keep everyone in the loop. Her hobby of aerial hoops, if for no other reason, has come in clutch here in Mikkeli as she scoops down and bends in all types of positions to get that just perfect angle for the just perfect picture

On top of being a great communicator (which must come in handy in all of those communication courses), she is an animal lover and always kind and helpful to those around her She’s also the DJ of the group, with an immaculate taste in music that, if you are lucky enough, have the pleasure of hearing every Wednesday night. So keep an eye out for the flash of her camera and the ping of her messages because Saana is here to capture the moment and make sure you're always in the know.

Eemil Kautto has embarked on his journey to Mikkeli from the beautiful city of Jyväskylä. It's rare to see him without his headphones on, as his taste in music is unmatched. He is an up-and-coming prodigy in the competitive dart scene, and if you dare to challenge him, you'll be humbled With iron lungs from practicing for a marathon, he can outlast anyone in any activity His unique style and energy always elevate the atmosphere around him, creating a vibrant Mikkeli spirit Besides his passion for darts, he has many other hobbies and interests. If you're lucky, you might even have the chance to hear him play his saxophone

As the Project Coordinator, Eemil's responsibilities include being in charge of merchandise, organizing and coordinating transportation for our own events and some outside events in Otaniemi, as well as organizing the highly anticipated annual Juhannus Möbbä event The PC has a broad range of responsibilities and is a valuable team player alongside the rest of the board

Victoria or better known as Vicky has made her way from Finland to Estonia and Cananda and back to Finland to the hoods of Vantaa from where she decided to move to Mikkeli to bless us with her gracious presence. Don’t let her put-together look fool you too much though, because this girl really knows how to have fun. This mixture makes her the perfect Master of Ceremonies. She is the sweetest and kindest soul you will ever meet

In Probba Victoria is responsible of our two very important events: The Graduation and The Grand Annual Ball Graduation was already held in June and it was a great success and now it’s time to concentrate on GAB With Victoria’s exquisite taste you can be sure that GAB will be the most magical and glorious event of the year. We’ve heard that GAB might even be the best event of the year according to our beloved MC

Masi hasn’t forgotten his roots despite his success in many fields and his “loud and proud” love for Jyväskylä can be heard when any song by Gettomasa is played in Pentti. He’s a menace at weekly säbä and his slapshots have gained a reputation of their own Masi is one of those, who people often refer to as “ you will hear from this guy”. This former Ambassador’s entrepreneur challenge champion is the shoulder to cry on, the party beast who never turns down a tequila shot 3 AM at Las Palmas and overall, one of Mikkelis most delightful personalities you just have to get acquainted with the first chance given.

As the moneyman of the Probba Board and as the Treasurer, Masi's job is to take care of the finances He oversees the creation of the budget that the board follows throughout the year, as well as making sure all payment details are in order. Masi manages the accounting and financial statements for Probba Ry and makes sure the money flow is managed appropriately.

Aida is probably the most welcoming person you will ever meet! You won’t ever see this social butterfly missing an event or a party, as she is always down to do anything and everything. She can be always spotted snapping photos filling up her camera roll If you don’t remember what happened last night, ask Aida! She always has at least a billion photos to remember a night by, although the phone itself might get lost.. Aida is adventurous and sometimes doesn’t think so much about what she’s doing However, this just adds to her charisma as she’ll just laugh everything off saying it’s “for the stories”

As the International Affairs Coordinator, Aida is the best friend and a local Mikkeli guide for the exchange students. She coordinates the different processes so that the exchange students arrive to Mikkeli (and not the Otaniemi campus) safely and makes sure each one has a tutor to guide them along the way She does her role with passion and truly enjoys building bonds with all these wonderful people

Emil can always be found at every social gathering, bringing any party to life. He is very friendly and easygoing Emil is a very active member of the Aalto community spreading the Mikkeli spirit wherever he goes and making tons of friends on the way with his spot on humour and positive attitude Known for his legendary cry “Vaaaaakunaaaaaan” (R.I.P.), he shows by example how partying is done in Mikkeli

Emil is our EC or Event Coordinator He ensures that all Aalto students have a blast of a time in Mikkeli by organising some of the coolest events throughout the year From Mikkeli boat trip to legendary Sillis, he makes sure that everyone gets a chance to relax and have fun Emil has demonstrated on multiple occasions his excellent event-planning skills, marking his events among some of the most successful ones during the reign of the Probba Board’23. So an advice to any fuksi, once you see information about an event organised by Emil, mark the dates in your calendars because you really do not want to miss them.

A sweet, kind and introverted one… or is she? Indeed, the first impression you get from An is of a quiet Vietnamese good girl, but once you get to know her you’ll be surprised Her free time activities include running away from police (twice), climbing to MOAS’s rooftop, walking barefoot on ice and twerking to ABBA. An is one of the few people to have tackled the Fleimari with clear marks, though Asians are known to be uninterested in alcohols She is someone everyone would like to know, as she will never be anything short of fun, supportive and loyal

In the Editor-in-Chief role, her responsibility include writing the piece of paper you're reading, communicating with partner organizations, editors, photographers, students, professors, to make sure all five Bulletin issues are published nicely. As an EIC she has trained herself with procrastination solving skills and special tolerance to people's last minute efforts When talking about a teammate who is ready to roll up her sleeves, An comes to mind The board wouldn’t be the same without her.

SkiBBA

SkiBBA is the one and only sports club in Mikkeli! Comprised of the fittest, sexiest, and sportiest specimen, SkiBBA is responsible for organizing weekly futsal and floorball. We also organize legendary events like the SkiBBA Olympics and the Ganos skiing trip, the undisputed greatest event of the year that you do not want to miss! Lace your running shoes, get warmed up and try to keep up!

NESU-Probba

We bring the party! NESU-Probba is the club that organises all of Probba's sits. The club's main purpose is to organise these parties, more formally known as "academic dinner parties", that include for example getting to know new people, singing, having different fun programs during the evening, and of course ending the night at a designated afterparty. These crazy, loud, and thrilling night outs will surprise you every time Sits bring business students together from all over Finland, and visiting other business schools' sits is a great way to create a wide network and get to know different cities in Finland. Baba Adventures, the hiking club of Mikkeli, is the best club there is! Our events are made up of hiking-oriented excursions that we do around Finland. Each of the hikes ends with a great after party, so these events are not to be missed Besides the Finnish hikes, the most anticipated and best event of the year is the trip abroad organized by baba ventures This year, the destination is beautiful Iceland. Last year we went to the mythological Athena in Greece, and this year we are planning to go to Reykjavik, Iceland This is an unforgettable trip that is definitely worth participating in as you get to a new destination with an amazing group of people for a very good price!

Baba’s kitchen is the local culinary club of the Aalto Mikkeli Campus. We are a group of students with a sizzling passion for cooking or eating - or both As we are an international program with an international student body, we organise dinner parties where we present delicacies from all around the world Each dinner party hosted by Baba’s kitchen focuses on a certain theme or a cuisine of a certain culture welcoming everyone to enjoy the food together Additionally, as the cooking club of our campus, Baba’s kitchen cooks for some of the best events of the year. The Finlandssvenska Klubben is an elite club designed to appreciate and maintain the supreme culture of the Swedish-speaking Finns. Our club was founded in 1991 and to this day, we uphold our historic events to bring a touch of class to Mikkeli Our events include the famous Mikkeli kräftskiva (crayfish party), golf excursions to the Algarve, field trips to Glöggrunda, Pampas Nationaldag, och our exclusive Hanken events Our club does not require an understanding of the Swedish language, but all Finlandssvenska Klubben members share a love for skumpa, skagen, and segelbåtar

What makes college a college? A football club, obviously!

FC Probba is our school’s one and only football club that participates in a highly competitive, yet fun football league here in Mikkeli during summers. Whenever possible, FC Probba will organize open-for- everyone football games as well, usually on Sundays. All of you Tottis and Pirlos of all Baba generations are welcome to join the club and its activities! Get your football shoes’ laces tightened and come to show your rabonas, elasticos and filthy nutmegs on the field, Joga Bonito-style!

You are going to study business, so you better pick up a golf club and get swinging. Our school would not be a credible business school without a proper golf club, the BSCBA Hook Every summer, we organize a very affordable green card course for our students, so no worries if you have never touched a golf club. Without question, the most prestigious, old-fashioned and gentlemanly event of our school is our annual golf tournament: the BSCBA Open The winner receives the coveted club jacket for one year and naturally, eternal glory and fame. BSCBA Hook encourages all the new students to get excited about golf and become the best Hooker you can be. Capital!

Liisa&Ida:TheAthlete&The“Loca”

Liisa, who’s carrying the title of the infamous “Ganos toilet breaker”, is the embodiment of a trustworthy friend and a great listener. Preparing for the upcoming Iron Man competition, Liisa is also a fiercely determined and disciplined athlete, like a true Skibba member she is, yet this girl knows how to let loose and have fun Liisa doesn’t care, what anyone else thinks (in the best way possible) and she likes to think outside of the box embracing her own path. Me and Liisa have been like two peas in a pod experiencing many Mikkeli “firsts” together as babas and created countless unforgettable memories On top of Liisa’s supportive guidance, her introverted nature ensures that even the shyest fuksis feel at ease Coming from Itä-Helsinki and now residing in “the hoodz” of Raviradantie, Liisa knows how to survive anything!

Ida, or as many also know in Mikkeli as the “bubbly bööna”, makes sure that the Mikkeli spirit is spread even outside Mikkeli! From the day she stepped to our school, she actively participated in every student event possible, and soon enough she was no stranger to any student With high alcohol tolerance, she is most often one of the last ones on the dance floor looking for an afterparty She often calls herself “ a bit loca”, since she can do the most unexpected things, making your time with her unforgettable and engrossing Even though Ida is a night person and sleeps only 4 hours a night, she manages to exceed in her studies and is willing to help the other students too. And most importantly, she is a person that cares for others. She isn’t afraid to show that she is there for you and that she is a trustworthy friend

Amirkhan&Sherkhan:TheOnlyKhans

This little Asian boy named Amirkhan is my tutor pair He is from Kazakhstan, although he has clearly inherited the Mongol blood of the great Genghis Khan He is also known as a drinking half of the duo, who usually gets wasted after the first lonkero. In Mikkeli, you can easily spot him at Burger King or Anfora, where he is regularly getting in shape for FC Probba games. He may seem quite calm, but the closer you get to know him, he is a friendly and a funny guy All in all, Amirkhan would be glad to help you out during the O-week period.

This dude comes from the European part of Kazakhstan, where he was raised among other cultural people like him Sherkhan is also known as "Kazakh Chalamet", not only because of being his look-alike, but also being a fashion killer, as his cartoon socks are the most gorgeous part of him. Shera has also worked at a restaurant, mainly making kebab and delicious horsemeat He is the soberest person you'll ever meet in Mikkeli, so the time you'll be stoned, Shera is the one to carry you home Despite his lazy nature, Shera is a caring and open-minded person, and you're lucky to have him as a tutor. Overall, Sherkhan is a great guy to be around with and he will be looking forward to helping you with surviving the first days in Mikkeli

Googi&Ville:TheLiverpoolaholic&TheViking Milla&Ellen:TheYellow&TheCharming

This distinguished fine gentleman has descended from the mountains of southernBulgaria and found his way to Mikkeli through the city of Finnish fish pasties, Kuopio. Georgi aka Googi and myself have become true partners in crime as we are together in many club boards such as Nesu, SkiBBA, FC Probba, BBC and of course the MC Freeriders The man of many talents never misses a party and still manages to be an academic weapon Googi is going to make a great tutor for the new torch carriers because he is a social advocate of the Mikkeli spirit™ and has the biggest heart you’ll find. However, while encountering him be cautious because while showing you the Mikkeli culture he well probably start spewing some nonsense about Liverpool being the biggest English club inside the first 5 minutes of having a conversation.

Mikkeli’s very own tall and strong Viking has traveled north from the warm and sunny Leppävaara to spread the Mikkeli spirit™. Ville Alén is a generational hockey player whose career ended so that he can pursue his goals in Mikkeli. You will quickly get to know one of our uni’s most outgoing, positive and party-animal (literally) through mainly wednesdays You will get to also see Ville’s creative sides in various events that he will be part of organizing He is actively involved in all of our events as long as he gets to party Ville is an excellent example for all new fuksis, as he has never missed an event. In addition to that he never misses school and is always sharp and ready for everything thrown at him.

Milla, my tutor pair, is probably the most special person I have ever met Milla has so many weird habits like sharing a very short story but stretching it to an hour and eating sushi at a sushi buffet until she is so full that she needs to puke. Anyways, Milla is a very yellow person since whenever she walks in a room it’s never quiet and never boring either Milla is amazing and funny and definitely worth being her friend She is an active participant in the community as she handles the sign up for the famous sits parties and runs NESU-Probba’s instagram and facebook account and have a lot of experience in helping people get drunk since 1989

I am thrilled to introduce Ellen - a truly remarkable tutor who brings a delightful combination of humor, charm, and brilliance to our team Her ability to infuse laughter ensures that every moment is a memorable experience Beyond her captivating sense of humor, her dedication and passion for tutoring shine through in every interaction, fostering strong connections with her fellow Babas.

Rightfully titled as ”the hottest person you’ll ever meet”, Sofia is a force to be reckoned with Best known for her impeccable and colorful clothes, Sofia is a woman of many endeavors: an aspiring writer, gym rat, fashionista, world traveller and your future best friend. As the mother of the group, she is honest and quick-witted, always knowing what to say and do Whether you need someone to talk to, fashion advice or a Skip-Bo opponent, she has got your back

Despite her easy-going smile, Lilian is a surprisingly dedicated person. Allow me to introduce Matias, a vibrant and sociable young man who kno to have a good time.. As the president of our sports organization, Skibba, brings enthusiasm and energy to every activity. On occasional nights out, you might catch Matias donning the attire of a shaman Approachable an friendly, Matias will be there to ensure your transition to Mikkeli is not only smooth but also enjoyable

My good friend Joona with his beautiful flowing long hair has conquered the world through China all the way to Leppävaara and finally to Mikkeli. Joona is very easily approachable and he will definitely help answer any questions (if he ever knows the answer) Although he has bee a bit lacking in Pentti appearances lately, he is the definition of go big or home when it comes to partying Joona is also a prominent player in FC P but don’t expect any greatness from him if he has a darra.

Juho&Iina:TheOululainen&TheNapper

This man has brought Mikkeli spirit all the way down from Oulu, which can be heard in his Finnish from time to time. Juho can often be spotted destroying dads on the football field as Fc Probba’s player number 10 With his bright smile he’s nothing if not easy to talk to but don’t mess with him as he’s acquaintances with Toripolliisi As Juho is also a reliable partygoer you’ll surely see his rock solid liver at work on Wednesday’s as he makes his to die for penttispecials (after mine ofc). Lastly, Juho is one beast in the kitchen: not to out anyone, but I've never seen him and Gordon Ramsay in the same room have you?

When Iina isn’t advocating the Mikkeli spirit through advertising, you'll find her indulging in the most peculiar nap positions and improbable locations known to mankind. Her love language is the art of roasting, and armed with her razor-sharp wit, it's often a challenge to discern whether she's jesting or dead serious However, this ambiguity hardly matters because she possesses the extraordinary ability to embrace life with a lightheartedness that can effortlessly uplift any atmosphere As your tutor, she is ever ready to lend a hand with anything you need, but note to self - don’t ever ask her for directions anywhere, as she still uses google maps to find the closest store. More often than not, you'll find her stationed behind the bar counter, expertly concocting the most sought-after libation known as "The Iina Special" for the parched Baba's of Mikkeli

Nicolas&Albert:TheAnforaEnthusiasts

Nicolas Noel is an outgoing and ambitious Mikkeli student. He was born on Christmas, hence his middle name and his tendency to spread Christmas cheer all year round He’s a member of Forttis, the best student house around, as well as being a Pentti crew member. You’ll catch him behind the bar every Wednesday where you’ll get to try his Jello shots (unless he’s studying last minute) You might also catch him trying to surf at Pankalampi, even in mid-September If you ’ ve got Nicolas as your tutor for O-week, you ’ re in for the full Mikkeli experience

Albert is one of the most mysterious members of the Mikkeli community and is a gifted tutor His participation in BBC and the Pentti crew makes him an ideal first contact for our beloved Fuksis He is usually spotted sitting mysteriously behind Pentti counter as if none of the party chaos could ever reach him. But once you unlock his mystical composure, you will see he is such a warm-hearted person Having come from an IB school in Dubai, Albert is also familiar with cultures from all around the world which is a valuable skill for Mikkeli tutors But the most important thing about Albert is that he always cares about the well-being of those around him. So as long as Albert is around, pick up a bottle… he’s got your back!

Tilda&Ella:TheCitygirl&Multilinguist

Tilda Hyttinen is a Citygirl from the lively city of Helsinki. She loves different cultures, especially de finswe culture, which is probably why we click so well. You will find her in all of our events, since she is a social butterfly oftentimes discussing and getting to know new people You can bump into her at the cashier of the local K-market or at the cheapest/most student friendly gym in town. Tilda is also an active member in Nesu-probba, she posts content to Instagram stories and overall hypes up the sits vibe. Tilda is probably most known for her witty humour and her knowledge of Finnish rap, ask her about Rakastunu gangstaan and you will hear the finest version of it

Ella Suoninen is a current resident of Pissis and a passionate member of Skibba which is also expressed through her love for Minttu One of the many things I love about hanging out with Ella is that her laugh is so contagious, therefore there can’t be a dull moment with her! One of Ella’s superpowers is her multilingualism; this girl speaks 5 languages! Her finlandsvenskness makes her the bättre folk ;) and she brings the Västranylands vibe to South Savo <3 Ella will try to lure you to make a membership at Fressi to get commission money, (which I totally respect, get that bag girl) or try to get you to participate in Skibba säbä or futsal, and you should definitely do that to get to know her even better!

Emma&Onni:TheSpontaneous&TheCalm

Emma, the fearless leader of NESU-Probba and a true ambassador of Mikkeli spirit, is serious party animal. To this date, she has not missed a single Pentti Emma’s also had her fair share of incidents due to afterPentti bike rides, but that hasn’t stopped her from getting to where she needs to beat least most of the time While there’s never a party without Emma, she is still a business woman at heart. Catch her negotiating deals at Fressi-gym or with the Las Palmas bartender. Being the life of the party that she usually is, it only makes sense that Emma is also a Bööna With her Böönalicious energy she surely knows how to give you a night you will remember - but she won’t Ps Due to working but playing even harder, Emma might be in need of a new liver. So if you happen to have a spare one please donate itor if you ’ re a true moralless business person, sell it - to Emma.

As you might note from the picture attached, Onni is a fine gentleman who’s always up for adventure And let’s be real, coming to Mikkeli all the way from the big city of Karjaa, is quite the adventure in itself. When he isn’t working on his unbelievable corporate relations deals for NESU, you might find him at the local ravirata-gym to achieve a different type of gains Onni is more of a stay at home cooking beats kind of dude instead of the typical Mikkeli party animal, but I can promise you, you’ll see that side of him during O-week as well. You might even catch a glimpse of him riding his pretty little scooter around Mikkeli, and that’s a sight - and a ride - that you don’t want to miss ;).
