Objetivos de aprendizagem
Para criar um mundo mais sustentável e para se envolver com questões relacionadas à sustentabilidade, como descrito nos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), os indivíduos devem se tornar agentes de mudança para a sustentabilidade. Eles precisam de conhecimentos, habilidades, valores e atitudes que lhes permitam contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável. A educação é, portanto, crucial para a consecução do desenvolvimento sustentável e a educação para o desenvolvimento sustentável (EDS) é particularmente necessária porque capacita os educandos a tomar decisões informadas e agir de forma responsável para promover a integridade ambiental, a viabilidade econômica e uma sociedade justa para as gerações presentes e futuras.
Esta publicação orienta os leitores sobre como usar a educação, especialmente a EDS, para atingir os ODS. Ela identifica os objetivos de aprendizagem, sugere temas e atividades de aprendizagem para cada ODS, e descreve a implementação em diferentes níveis, desde a formulação do curso até estratégias nacionais. O documento tem como objetivo apoiar os formuladores e gestores de políticas, desenvolvedores de currículo e educadores na elaboração de estratégias, programas e cursos para promover a aprendizagem para os ODS.
