Getting Wilde behind the camera! Olivia makes music video directorial debut for Red Hot Chili Peppers' latest single release

She played the wife of a recording mogul in HBO's Vinyl.

And now Olivia Wilde is once again dabbling in the music industry, albeit in a more hands-on capacity.

The 32-year-old actress landed her first ever music video directing gig when she was tapped to helm the Red Hot Chili Peppers' video for their brand new single Dark Necessities.

The relatively long and somewhat disjointed video starts with the members of the band sandwiched between the cushions of an old couch.

Pictures flash of a bruised and bleeding girl on a bed before a cut to lead singer Anthony Kiedis apparently psyching himself up in the corner of a wood-paneled room.

Several portraits of some skateboarding girls flash on the screen as the music continues to build.

Band members make another appearance, this time playing their instruments, though they are not synced to the music.
