NATIONAL PRAISE FOR PRIZE aside,

Beyond the radiant joy the festival exudes, and the way it gives back to its community, it’s fast becoming one of the best platforms I can imagine for an emerging filmmaker. Their massive prize is life-changing money. It’s the kind of award that doesn’t just look good on your website or bio blurb, but that can prove the start of a full-length feature or a production company. Mark my words: within this decade we’ll see a major filmmaker rise out of the LA Film Prize.
